I am very impressed with this book! Rather than just offering pages of simple computation practice, this book provides a concentrated skill lesson on important concepts. The practice problems are high level application problems, many are followed by a "how to find the answer" section. The book does a great job providing strategy ideas. For students who are taking state tests that are heavy on word problems, I feel this book provides good practice.

For most states and test this is a great resource. It is filled with lots of helpful hints, stratigies, and examples on how to attack and answer many types of test questions.

After finding two many mistakes in the GACE Xam book, I chose this one to help me prepare for the GACE. It really helped me and taught me everything I needed to know about 6-8th grade math. Being the math idiot that I am - guess what? I actually passed the test on the first attempt. By going through the entire book, I felt well prepared for the exam, and the results showed in my scores.

This math book was absolutely great! my son actually enjoyed reading it and solving the problems. Before learning a new thing, the princeton makes a little story/introduction. Very catchy actually!

It is a good book I have to say. I purchased it on Amazon after I saw all the positive reviews. I found out that the book was marked for less than $10.00, but I paied $45.00 for it. Like I said, it is a good book but definitely not worth the money I paid. There are great books out there that are not over-priced.
