-Version on album "Carry On":
Same vocal track as other versions.
Main guitar track switches from acoustic to distorted electric guitar throughout the song.
Has an orchestra playing throughout the entire song.
Orchestra nowhere near as loud and full as it was on the actual Casino Royale theatrical intro.

-Version on single 'As featured in the motion picture Casino Royale' (this one):
Same vocal track as other versions.
Main guitar track is always a distorted electric guitar.
Has no orchestra.

-Casino Royale, actual theatrical intro version:
Same vocal track as other versions.
Main guitar track switches from being muted to distorted electric guitar throughout the song. [my guess on the reason to have a muted guitar on certain parts of the song was so that the orchestra would have a bit more emphasis]
Has the same orchestra you heard in the film. Loud and full.

For those of you who wanted what you heard in the film, aside from ripping the audio off the film intro, sadly, there is no way of obtaining the version of the song you heard in the film and listening to the song sample on album "Carry On" may have, could have misled you into purchasing it because it has the orchestra audible. After listening to it once, I regretted the buy.

This gets a 3 star review from me because it claims to be the version "featured in the motion picture Casino Royale" but well...its not.

I had not heard of Chris Cornell until I saw Casino Royale. My daughter was quite familiar with his work. I can only say, he did a fantastic job doing the opening theme for this Bond movie, that's why I bought the song.

Tremendous tune. Profound lyrics and sung accordingly.
The song or theme was a great kickoff for the new James Bond Daniel Craig,
of which was lived up to in every way throughout the movie.

This is the counterpart of the Herb Alpert Casino Royale music. Dark and deep it belongs to the best of the Bond music even though it isn't quite Goldfinger in scope it does well .

And if you're going to break the streak of Bond songs sung by women, do it with Chris Cornell! I felt it was a great way to introduce Daniel Craig -- this is a new Bond!

"You Know My Name" is just one of those well written songs that brilliantly sets up the tone of the film, especially a film like "Casino Royale".

This song is amazing. Don't really know any other songs by Chris Cornell, but love this tune. Still the best Bond theme ever, in my humble opinion.
