Wow! This is a great book. I just read this book after breaking up with a lady I had dated for a year and a half. The dating process took us through several ups and downs and ended six weeks before we were to have been married. This book would have brought clarity to our relationship early on and probably would have saved much heartache. Interestingly, the book would have helped me truly know what a wonderful lady I was engaged to and made me appreciate her more -- possibly saving the relationship. I especially liked the thoughtful method Warren used to "force" the reader to really get to know him/herself and to identify the characteristics desired and not desired in a potential mate.

This is one of the best written books I have ever read. It is precise, to the point and shows many examples. Using his experience in practice and studies on marriage, Dr. Clark shows the reader not only how to find the perfect mate, but also how to find and know yourself. The book really opens your eyes so that you are not stuck in a dead-end relationship. I strongly recommend it.

66% of all marriages in the US end in divorce or separation. Half of those occur in the first 2 years! Research shows that if people followed the advice in this book, the divorce rate would be increadibly lower. If you want to have a happy marraige, then read this WHILE you're single. It will change your life.

Warren has counseled thousands of people and couples, and has seen it all in dating relationships on what makes couples successful long-term, so he knows what he's talking about. We study all our lives in school how to be successful in business and finance, but never study up how to have successful relationships. Here's a great resource to increase your chances of lifetime success in finding lasting intimacy.

An excellent guide through an introspective process, which will reveal those aspects of a potential mate that are key for you. Once you can see what is so important to you that it will ultimately make or break a relationship, the rest is pretty easy. Read it. Think about it. Second dates with people who couldn't possibly be "the one" will no longer be necessary. This was the book that made the difference for me. I give it an A+.

This is a wonderful book. I read it in one afternoon and it totally changed my ideas of how a relationship should form. Dr. Warren clearly understands what the real "rules" of dating should be, and how it might actually be possible to "win." I recommend this book highly.

I am a military chaplain. One of the questions I face comes in the area of relationships. People looking around for the right one. I have suggested this book numerous times to others. It worked for me. I would highly recommend it for someone recouping after a bad relationship before going back or to another relationship.

This book is a great first step. Dr. Warern clearly understands what it takes for a marriage to work. It is interesting to think that the most important decisions you make in a relationship may happen in the first few days of it. What could make this book even better would be advice on how to see through a persons' "best behavior" that they're on when first dating!
