The Koning Reprint Series:
In the Fall of 2001, NewSouth Books published Hans Koning’s thirteenth novel, the critically acclaimed Zeeland, or Elective Concurrences. NewSouth simultaneously announced the launch of an ambitious reprint series of all of Koning’s out-of-print works of fiction, beginning with his first novel, The Affair (1958).
The title you are now reading is the fourth in the series. Also available are An American Romance, A Walk With Love and Death, and The Petersburg–Cannes Express.
