Funny and real,

This review is from: I Know You, Al (Paperback)
First introduced in "A Girl Called Al," this sequel picks up with 13-year-old Al's latest crisis -- her father, whom she hasn't seen in eight years -- suddenly pops into Al's life to tell her he's getting remarried. Worse yet, she'll have three new stepbrothers!
Her best friend, the book's narrator (who is never named) is always there to lend her support...or to make some mistakes with her. Like the other "Al" books, this one manages to be funny and real throughout. Adolescent readers will enjoy the adventures of Al and her friend, because they're just regular girls they'd feel like they could be friends with, too...
