These are $20 at Lowes right now. Regular price $25. Picked up a couple of them and they're alright. If you're going to need to use some serious torque I'm not sure how well these will hold up, but for most daily uses they seem to work as advertised. The switch to redirect the gear in the drive is plastic, be interesting to see how well that lasts repeated use. The larger screwdriver has room in the handle for the bits, but then you have to dump them all out, pick one, and put them all back. The little one doesn't open so you're limited to just using the organizer for bit storage (which really works better imo anyway).

Since this is a review of the product and not the listing, I gave it 4 stars due to the plastic and somewhat cheap feeling to the tool. As long as you keep your expectations reasonable it's a very useful screwdriver and worth adding to your box. Definitely don't pay more than the $20-$25 at Lowes in store or online though.

Im giving this 5 stars because it's great for what it's able to be used for. I personally wouldn't use this for high-torque applications on a regular basis. This is better suited for times when constant screwdriver twisting becomes tedious - think of this as a middle ground between a standard driver and an electric driver. It operates as a standard ratcheting driver with one hand, then "double ratchets" with two hands. The larger driver is larger than most ratcheting drivers I've encountered. The "storage" space inside the handle is gimicky to me; the pieces rattle around annoyingly. The provided case for tips is more than good enough. Many people comment on the cheap feeling, but I believe it's strong enough for my needs as an electrician. The plastic directional switch would be better as metal, but it suffices. That said, there's no "neutral" or "lock" position on the switch unlike most regular ratcheting drivers (which effectively would make it a standard manual driver). Also, what looks like an extension bit holder on the end is in fact permanent, making the larger driver almost 9" long. The hobby sized driver will be very infrequently used by me, but I can say it's nice and sturdy in my larger hand. It also has the spinning palm rest like most hobby drivers.

Overall, it's more than worth one Jackson - as it is at Kobalt's standard retailer. This is a great gift idea, and perfect for anyone wanting to save wrist muscle stress - carpal tunnel sufferers especially!

This product is disappointing to me. I wasn't thrilled that it is made in China and it feels more fragile than I thought it would. It works ok so far, my biggest complaint is that the bit keeps sticking in the screw hole and pulling out of the driver, which is a pain if you are in a tight situation.

I love the big screwdriver, it's almost better than a drill it goes so fast and there's no battery to recharge. On the small one however I bent three of the flathead bits removing a flathead screw. They bent way too easy, not prying...unscrewing

Its a great idea, but it could be better. My wish list to make it better would be:

1. Bit storage in the smaller precision screwdriver handle. The large one has the bit storage in the handle, and I know they won't be easily lost. I have to have a little container for the extra bits for the precision version. The supplied plastic box holds the bits for both, so its a space-waster to use it only for the precision driver. Other than that, I like the precision driver, it replaces a box of individual small screwdrivers with just the one, and it gives a much firmer grip than the small ones.

2. Stronger bit holder - the bits are firmly held, won't fall out when held vertically, but if the screw grabs the bit a little too much, the bit comes out. I searched for a lost bit for a long time before I decided to remove the electrical outlet cover I had just installed, and there it was, stuck in the mounting screw behind the outlet.

3. Use in electrical work is problematic because the collar for the gear drive is metal. I still use it for electrical work, but I have a yellow caution light going off in my head when I do. Could the collar be made insulating while still being strong? I don't know.

I use this around the house, for odds and end things. Last week I put together and office desk exclusively with this tool. Well built, easy to use. I would by this again.

The pros of this product is that it is fairly cheap and will do the job for most projects.

However, the "double-drive" feature doesn't work very well. It's good for applications that do not require a lot of torque, but when you are tightening a screw, it's very difficult to use. I would say it's kind of a gimmicky feature, but it does work as advertised. It just depends on how you use it.

The handle is decent but not great. On the outside, the entire handle, including the ratchet direction switch, are all made of hard plastic, with the handle areas coated with a softer rubber for comfort. The blue metallic ring below the ratchet direction switch is made of aluminum.

The nice part about this set is that you get a large and a small screwdriver, and the tips are magnetized. They also include a lot of bits for you to swap with, however don't expect them to last a long time. These bits are not high quality. They are decent and good for light use only.

Like some other reviewers have said, these are usually cheaper if you buy them directly from Lowe's. From time to time they even have it on sale for a few dollars off. These are considered decent all-in-one screwdrivers. If you want a high quality all-in-one screwdriver and do not care for magnetic tips, I suggest getting one of these:

http://www.amazon.com/Channellock-131CB-Multi-Ratcheting-Driver/dp/B005GPFTVY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1404331068&sr=8-2&keywords=channellock+screwdriver

It is more expensive, but its made of high quality materials and it feels solid and durable. Their bits are also stronger and longer lasting and the handle is very comfortable to grip. The handle end is also very smooth and comfortable so when gripping, it doesn't hurt your hand, unlike the Kobalt which is just made of a removable plastic cap.
