This review is from: Kobra: Resurrection (Paperback)
I have bought Kobra: Ressurrection only because I could have the three last issues of Checkmate, the great and underrated DC title written by Greg Rucka. What I found was a really nice character study, since his campy creation during the silver age (at least Jack Kirby was there to help), going through a Batman story from the 70s, when Bruce was still human, until the Faces of Evil issue that shows Kobra as a force to be reckoned with. What was exaggerated and cheesy about Kobra has now become subtle and much more dangerous.
Kobra: Ressurrection was a good surprise, and I do recommend it! |
