The documentary is what it is for the kind of budget that Greenwald could put into it. It is not comprehensive, it is short and to the point: in America we are breeding something that the Founding Fathers were terrified of: an oligarchy. The immense amount of wealth that the Koch brothers have means that they can pretty much throw their weight around in a way the average citizen could not even dream of, to fight against any issue from taxes on the wealthy, to environmental issues, to education to anything. Knowledge is important and Greenwald and his crew do a job of giving you the very peak of the ice berg.

I was a bit disappointed that he did not go about discussing just how the immense wealth that the Koch brothers have plays such an important role in shaping policy. There have been a lot of research on this topic over the last few years, including from Jacob Hacker et al. (The Winner Take All Economy) and Thomas Ferguson (The Golden Rule: The Investment Theory of Political Parties), it would have been nice to see a more indepth look at how the immense wealth that the Koch brothers have plays a role in politics.

Instead the documentary does too much to appeal to emotions, which emotional music and editing. I would have preferred more depth. The Koch brothers are the despicable sons of a despicable John Birch Society founder, they are at the extreme of the right-wing, but this documentary does not does not do that. I would have liked it if Greenwald had gotten together with more filmmakers and perhaps pumped out something far stronger.

Still, it is very valuable for what it is. I held screenings of it in my neighborhood and handed out literature, articles and talks so as to glue the name "Koch" into the heads of people.

This documentary is just the tip of the iceberg covering the Koch Brothers. They are influencing our country in a significant and very negative way. Robert Greenwald has covered some of the most critical topics in our country concerning our democracy, and this is just another example of his courage. Everyone concerned with keeping our democracy in this country free and open, should see this film.

Within two minutes I learned the real source of the boys' wealth...and it ain't from manufacturing chocolate cherries in Montana. no spoiler here..check it out 4 yourself.

The narration is excellent, including not only "Libs"...the Kochs themsleves, in clips, drive the action.

If anyone thinks that Walker in Wisconsin, or any other "Tea Party" exponent across the country, made it to the big dance by grassroots efforts, then think again. And again.

AFP (Americans For Prosperity) can be called another Koch "Front Group" and is another movement for a return to segregation...to voter suppression...to keep driving up the Social Security age. Another Koch-friendly acronym: ALEC (an "exchange" [in lieu of "lobby"] between Koch and legilsators).

Further, Foxnews, may be seen as a kind of unofficial media outlet for Koch muse.

Anyone thinks that the Libs control Education in this country...well, look at the amazing list of uppercrust schools to receive J-B bucks. (Perhaps the impression that the Universities are still, geneerally, not in a hard-right mode suggests that students, parents, educators are saying, keep your freaking money).

Further, if you think that these dudes have had no effect on the environment... (No wonder "deregulation" is a Newscorp mantra-word).

You may enjoy this effort simply for the "I knew that these guys were running the destroy Obama machine!" payoff.

I could not believe how well laid out this video is in exposing
the manipulation and deceit being created by these self serving billionaires.

This is a must watch movie for those who do not understand the devastation that is possible by allowing donations to be hidden, allowing the "personhood" of corporations, or that still believe that the only sociopaths are ones that look like Freddie Kruger. These Koch brothers are sociopaths that care nothing about our planet, the USA, humans, animals, plants...they just LOVE their money and their power. To respond to those who think this is a smear campaign on the Kochs...they don't need help - just look at their record.

Excellent hour-long production on a budget. It gets right to the point and says it well. Don't listen to the Koch-paid trolls in this discussion forum. EVERY concerned American should see this movie and judge for themselves. "Koch" and "ALEC" need to become everyday words in homes around America. These guys are not nice, not even close. But like vampires, they shrivel in the sunlight. Knowledge is power; spread the word! We're showing it at our local library soon.

The video was not all that I expected it to be. I thought there would be more to it; it was short and not as revealing as I had hoped. Most of the information was background and just as I thought the video was getting into new stuff, it ended. I looked at the cost as a mere donation to the cause of exposing the Koch Brothers to those who know zero about them.

You watch this and see how the Koch brothers are working to undermine the social progress we have made in the areas of equality and social justice. Being one of the biggest polluters on the planet, they want to gut environmental regulations. How they are using huge amounts of money to take over school boards, influence legislation, and push their daunting agenda. This film deserves the attention of all thinking Americans.
