The ink last a long time for all the print that I do.

I've printed all of 25 pages with colored ink since installing this ink cartridge, and I'm ALREADY getting "low color ink" warnings.

The box states that you can print up to 420 pages with this cartridge, but I barely got 100 out of it. It does not live up to the advertised quantity.

I regret buying a Kodak printer because despite Kodak's claims that you save on ink, it's quite the opposite.

Although I rarely make color copies or printouts, I didn't know that every single word in black type uses the clear toner of the color ink cartridge. Therefore, I was constantly forced to purchase color cartridges even if I never used the blue, yellow, or red ink because once the clear ink was exhausted, then the printer would stop working until I replaced the color ink cartridge.

WHAT A WASTE!

If you print a lot of color, you may want to buy this cartridge independently, otherwise, I would go for the combopack. It gives you color and black, and saves money on shipping/packaging.

Do NOT buy anymore 10c Color cartridges and just buy a new printer from someone else. Yes the printer prints great. It scans great, and it works great.

I have the ESP 7250 All-In-One that uses the Kodak 8946501 Color Ink Cartridge.

It has NEVER, ever printed near what Kodak claimed and advertised on TV or in print. I rarely use color and ALWAYS print in draft. But my color cartridges kept running out.

Read this careful people. The color cartridge has a clear ink. (some form of clear-coat or gloss i guess)

THE PRINTER USES BOTH THE COLOR AND BLACK INK EVEN IF YOU ARE ONLY PRINTING IN BLACK.

What that means is your CLEAR ink will always run out first and leave you printer useless because it will not work when the clear has run out, even if the blacks are full.

I contacted technical support today. Here is a copy of our chat. Like I said, this is CRIMINAL on Kodak s part. Nowhere do they tell you that the color clear is being used for everything and will always run out first. This was a deliberate invention to cost people money to buy color cartridges.

Siddiqui Mohd Kamran: May I please have the Kodak Service Number for your printer?

The price was competitive and at the time there was no shipping.

Print was excellent.

I am not impressed with the fact that you get one cartridge with all the colors instead of separate cartridges for each color. This means when you run out of one of the colors you cannot use this cartridge anymore.

The Kodak ESP 9 does not save on ink as far as I am concerned. I used to own a Lexmark and it printed forever and the cartridges were less expensive.

I am not impressed with the printer in that it will not print at all if the color cartridge is out of ink and whether you have this cartridge in or out and the option to print only in black and white is chosen it will not matter. You cannot even scan.

Its "logic" gets confused every so often and sometimes I cannot even shut it off and I have to unplug it.

If you want both black and white and color cartridges I would not bother with the multi-pack as the b&w will be 10b and this prints way less copies than the 10XL so I feel it makes sense just to buy them separate.

My documents are fine when using this ink to print them. The problem I have is that this stuff is still expensive despite the advertising to the contrary.

I've printed all of 25 pages with colored ink since installing this ink cartridge, and I'm ALREADY getting "low color ink" warnings. I haven't been printing anything color intensive, like photographs, either, just colored text and the occasional online coupon. So much for Kodak printers saving you money with their lower ink costs.

Bought a Kodsk printer on the advertising by Kodak stating their ink is cheaper. Yeah it's a bit cheaper but doesn't last long. Hardly get more than 25 pages before the color ink is running low. So is it really cheaper if you only get minimal pages printed before replacing? Thinking of switching to a Samsung color toner printer. Tired of paying good $ for ink that doesn't last
