Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

Kodak's ELITE Chrome 200 film is ideal for general outdoor or daylight picture taking under moderate-to-low light conditions. Though it's designed for exposure with daylight or electronic flash, it can be exposed with tungsten illumination (3,200 K) when using filters. This film enhances colors while maintaining natural-looking skin tones, as well as improving the reproduction of highlight and shadow details. Color prints, enlargements, duplicate slides, internegatives, and photo CDs can be made from the original slides.

5.0 out of 5 stars AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT, September 19, 2002
This review is from: Kodak ELITE Chrome 200 Film - 36 Exposure (Electronics)
Elite Chrome 200 is a very fine product. The colors seem to pop out at you. They appear much more realistic than Fuji slide film which tends to be clownish in color. It uses an E6 process and can be done locally one to two days. I currently use Elite Chrome 100, 200, and 400. I love them all. I use a variety of cameras and I will say for novices this film will suit your needs. Exposure can be a little under and still render fantastic!

5.0 out of 5 stars ELITE Chrome 200 is excellent film, June 26, 2009
This review is from: Kodak ELITE Chrome 200 Film - 36 Exposure (Electronics)
I have used Kodak ELITE Chrome film for many years. I started using Ektachrome films a long time ago when I noticed that nearly every issue of Arizona Highways was filled with wonderful pictures and outstanding scenic and outdoor reproductions. When I read the photo credits for the pictures I found that all had been photographed using Ektachrome.
The color balance many years ago was on the cold side which made it a perfect film for scenic pictures. Its rendition of winter scenes was outstanding. You could feel the cold of the snow and ice and winter clouds and sunshine just by looking at the pictures. I used Ektachrome 64 and High Speed Ektachrome 160.
I continued to use Ektachrome films when they change the color balance to be warmer and to provide a faster film for consumers and serious photographers.
I have always had excellent results with this film and have used the 200 speed film as my standard for many years.Kodak ELITE Chrome 200 Film - 36 Exposure I have tried other brands of film and have always come back to this one because I could trust the results and processing.
I found out many years ago that slide film is more sensitive to overexposure and asked a professional what I could do to prevent overexposure. I was given the advice to set the camera or light meter at 1/3 stop underexposed. I have had marvelous results by doing this. The colors are nicely saturated and the detail is superb. I have used an ASA setting of 250 for the 200 film with great success. The 1/3 stop under setting can be used with any of the Ektachrome type films with excellent results. I have also used this setting with Fuji chrome.
I have also used the 100 speed film Kodak ELITE Chrome Extra Color 100 Speed 36 Exposure 35mm Slide Film with excellent results.
I would recommend the ELITE Chrome films to anyone who wants high quality pictures with superb color balance, natural skin tones, and excellent detail.
