Great Printer at Great Price,
By corgi11 (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Kodak ESP C310 All-In-One Printer (Office Product)
I have had a Kodak Color All In One Printer (model 5300) since they first came out about 5 or 6 years ago. I love it. When my wife needed a wireless printer for her netbook I picked up one of these on sale at Target for $69.00. I followed the installation instructions and it went together very easy. I then followed the wireless set up instructions all on the screen of the priner,it found my network right away. I entered my network password and I was up and running in less than 30 min. Both of my Kodak printers are far cheaper to use than any other inkjet printer I have ever used. An added bonus for these printers is that they print the most beautiful pictures on photo paper you have ever seen. If you truly follow the instructions and do each step in order and press the OK button on the printer at the correct time when you set it up, the set up is a breeze.

Amazing print quality, low cost ink, great all in one printer,

This is for you if: you want a high-quality (document & photo) printer/scanner/copier with WiFi and low ink replacement costs. The Kodak ESP C310 is an amazing all in one printer. Wireless connectivity allows you to print without needing to be connected via a wire. The printer produces exceptional quality photos as well as crisp and clear documents. The scanner/copier are well-above average. The user interface is simple and intuitive despite being full of features. And finally, the ink is very affordable. What more could you want? More details: Although this is an all-in-one, there is no fax. To me, that's not at all a negative, but if you're looking for a fax this is not for you. The wireless feature is one of those "how did I ever live without this" features. I can sit at my desk and print a document, or I can be all the way across the house and print something and know it will be there waiting when I go to get it. One printer is enough for the whole family -- everyone can access from their own computer. When I think of multifunction printers, I tend to think of a device that can do everything pretty well. This, however, does everything incredibly well. I have printed countless numbers of photos that are at least as high-quality as professionally printed photos. 4x6, 8x10, wallets... everything comes out bright, crisp, clear, and the ink dries immediately so no worries about smearing on your fingers. They've even added the ability to print photos in 3D (which is nice, but mostly just fun to play with for me). The included software also allows you to edit and adjust your photos if you are not using some other photo editing software. The tools are basic but do include most of the simple adjustments you might make. There is a card reader, which makes it nice if you want to print directly from a memory card. You can preview the photos on the LCD screen and select just the ones you want to print. Document quality is exceptional and the print speed is quite fast. Scanning produces clear, high-quality images. There is no document feeder so you do have to lift the lid each time, but the included software makes it easy to quickly scan multiple pages into the same file. The printer also has some nice features you'd expect on higher-priced models. For example, you can print from a set of "printable forms" directly from the printer, without even turning on a computer. No more going to buy a whole pack of graph paper when you need one sheet -- just print your own! Also, if you start printing a letter-sized document but have forgotten and left 4x6 photo paper in the printer, it will detect this and alert you before wasting your photo paper. The ink is also great. It uses Kodak's new 30-series ink (Kodak Black 30b Ink Cartridge - Retail (8345217) and Kodak Color 30c/Xl Ink Cartridge - Retail (1341080)) It dries instantly, even on those brightly colored photos that used to take forever to dry. It's long lasting and inexpensive, leading to a very low cost per page (the best way to measure ink cost). Overall: exceptional printer, amazing quality, low cost ink.

Good Printer Better Price,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I went to the kodak website and a few chain stores and found it cheepest at amazon with free shipping. If you do buy it on the kodak website, don't buy the USB cable that they recommend. They charge $25 bucks while I got the USB cable on Amazon for $2.99 and free shipping. Pics look great and wifi works really well.

Nothing but trouble,

The first printer we received wouldn't even make it past step three of set-up. We sent it back for a replacement which did at least set up. However, this one has given us nothing but problems. It is so touchy about every setting that it takes forever to get anything to print. I've called customer service more times than I care to count by this point and not only do you wait forever but the representatives are extremely difficult to understand (and I usually have no issues understanding the help line from other countries) as well as completely unknowledgable about the products and services.Never will I buy another Kodak. Don't waste your money.

Wireless issues,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Kodak ESP C310 All-In-One Printer (Office Product)
This printer seems ok, but one major issue I can't seem to get help on anywhere. My home network has 2 wired pc's and 2 wireless laptop pc's . I followed the instructions to hook this up to the network via my Valet wireless printer. That part worked fine,in fact I was able to use a few different methods successfully connecting to the network. The wired pc's printed to the printer via the wireless connection through my Valet wireless router just fine . My wireless laptops are another story. I tried everything possible, and read enough tech help to make me puke. I did get the laptop to access my wired pc and then access the printer through it,but it was not a stable connection and every time the laptop gets rebooted it goes away.and trying that connection method again is only successful maybe 10%.Basically,in my several years of working on computers and building computers I would have to give this printer a bad review. I have not even tried to hook up the blackberries or ipod touch yet,my head is about to explode as it is. My best guess to the problem is the Kodak Software connection utility is junk. I updated the software and even updated the printer firmware. That did not help. The connection software just does not work from the wireless laptops, nor does windows built in "add a printer" software work. I am not perfect, and I may have done something wrong, but I am good at figuring out pc issues, and I spent literally 12 hours over 2 days working on this with no real success. The average home user with less knowledge would have real issues. So my advice is this....... if you want this printer for a wired connection,or a wireless connection to wired pc's, you are in good shape getting this pc. If you have a wireless laptop, forget it. I will come back and update this if I find a way to fix it or Kodak properly updates their software. Amazon has the best price on this, as usual. Everything else about this printer is fantastic, and I look forward to saving money on ink for a change.

Great so far!,

My husband and I are not very savvy with computers (I'm hopeless!) and the printer our sons bought us before this took hours to set up. I was ready to throw it out the window before I was done. I can't believe how easy it was to set the Kodak up. The hardest thing was remembering our password. I still can't believe it was so easy. Believe me, I'm usually close to tears doing things like this.I used all the photo paper that came with the printer and the pictures are fabulous. A flower with a butterfly is just beautiful, pictures of our granddaughter are better than from the store. I intend to use that paper from now on, so they were smart to include it. I also used some photo paper that I've had around for a long time and it did not do as well. Being able to handle the pictures afterwards without worrying about smudges is huge for me. With the old printer I would have to leave them out at least overnight before I felt I could stack them together. In fact I rarely printed pictures with the old printer because things would go wrong and I felt I was wasting ink and paper. This printer is much smaller than the old one. The old one also had issues and I would have to get up and open and close the lid to get it to print. When I say older printer it is really only a few months old. If it hadn't been a gift I would have sent it back where it came from. I haven't scanned yet or copied. If that does not go well I will report back. I'm very happy with this printer so far.

Good low-cost printer,
By
This review is from: Kodak ESP C310 All-In-One Printer (Office Product)
Just purchased this Kodak printer after reading many of the previous written reviews. After an easy install, this printer prints quietly and efficiently. I didn't encounter any problems with the wireless setup, unlike some of the previous reviewers. I print wirelessly from my Mac (OSX 10.6.8,) and print via USB cord from my Windows XP desktop. (hint: in order to print wirelessly you need to install the drivers so, (even with a mac) you should run the provided software.)Biggest driver in purchasing this product was the [advertised] low ink consumption/price. Although I've only had this printer for a few days, I'm MUCH happier that I chose Kodak over Canon (my wide-format printer drinks ink like I've never seen before) and HP (my last printer's power cable was emitting dangerous, fire-producing sparks and HP's customer service would not replace the cable or even acknowledge that their was a problem with my product.) It's a good product for the low price!

No problems,

Can't complain so far. No problems, prints color and black quickly and with good definition. The packaging advertises the lowest ink replacement cost in its category.

Terrible. Do not buy,
This review is from: Kodak ESP C310 All-In-One Printer (Office Product)
This printer will not print if ONE of the two printer cartridges is empty. You should be able to print in black and white if the color cartridge is out, but nooo. Kodak is going to force you to buy an ink cartridge by making the printer not print. I regret ever buying this printer. Won't buy another kodak again.

Flimsy and didn't last long.,
By Monica (Texas) - See all my reviews

I'm not tough on electronics -- I've been able to resell my computers and cell phones because I take care of them and pass them along in great shape. That said, this printer is flimsy under the best circumstances. Paper feed is rough and the plastic body and parts feel loose and insubstantial. It lasted 2 months for me with spotty performance before the paper feed stopped working entirely. If your budget allows it, go for something better made.
