I had high hopes for this camera. I've tried 10 or so over the last several months. This seems like a great camera, but the focus is the biggest detriment, whether taking stills or video. If you zoom, it takes a couple seconds to become focused again. Sometimes it will become blurry on it's own. I had read about the "blue" screen on the reviews and that is, indeed, true. A lot of times the screen will become blue as if processing, but I would have to take the batteries out to get it to go away. This camera may work for some, just not for me.

Works well for me,

I bought this exact package (camera, 4gb, reader, battery, charger) for work. I have never had the blue screen. The environment I am in is harsh and the pictures come out great. I am using the video mode for training. It does blur when you are zooming but corrects quickly. I do recommend high quality rechargeable batteries. I would buy another one. I do wish the video playback was media player and not quick time. Quick Time is the better player (my opinion) but everyone has media player. I do like image stabilization as I am not the best photographer. This is the 2nd Z1285 we use at work.
