This wasn't my first choice. The number one rated Visoneer got cancelled on me. But the Amazon product reviews for the Kodak and a price of less than half convinced me to try it.

The first thing you'll notice is this little thing is pretty zippy. Quite a bit faster than my flatbed scanner, and certainly faster than the big expensive scanners in the office. To bad there's no auto feed.

It took me less than a minute to hook it up and a few to install the the software. No problems at all. I was scanning to the computer in no time at all. The software is very basic, and easy to use. I scanned about one thousand photos the first night. The naming convention is inflexible. You could get into trouble with duplicate file names in your final destination folders. Everything goes into one folder in sequential order. It starts over as you move the files out, thus duplicate file names. I quickly got tired of individually RENAMING the files, so I wrote a little program to add my folder name to the file name. Onto GOOGLE DRIVE and into PICASCA on the WEB, add my notes, and I'm sharing pictures that haven't been seen in 30 years.

Again the comments left by others spurred me to use the scanner away from the computer. I sit in front of the TV feeding pictures into the scanner. There's no need to put the photo on the left margin. I just feed it in the center and the magic of auto-crop gives me a perfect scan. Using the left side to feed the photo generally gives me a crooked scan, so I just use the center of the scanner. I've had a few crooked scans using the center, but very few.

Top Tip --wait for the lights. Going too fast will cause the scanner to stop until you remove the photo and let it reset (a few seconds) or you will merge two photos together.

This scanner has far exceeded our expectations, we are in the process of archiving both my wife and my family photos for gifts for our families. This scanner has made our project so simple and fast. we have scanned over 3,000 photos and it still works great. We keep thinking it will wear out sometime soon, but not yet. If it does we will definitely purchase another one. It scans any photo up to 8x10 inch flawlessly!

I like the scanner but it doesn't operate with batteries. You have to use the power cord for it to operate properly. I installed batteries for the first operation and it fed one picture through and wouldn't do another. When I picked it up, the battery compartment was very hot. I removed the batteries immediately and plugged it into the wall and it worked fine after that.

Love it. Works great as descibed. Very simple. It is more expensive in the black model. I got the red one which has the same model number.

This scanner is so easy to use and works like a charm. I am so impressed with how fast it scans and the quality of the scan, even our old old old pictures come out better looking than when they went into the scanner. I would definitely recommend this scanner.

Works great. I have scanned about 3000 photos on one 4G SD card and still have almost 2G available! I'm thinking of purchasing one for my mother. So very simple to operate!

Scans fast. The pics came out nice. I bought this for my parents. They love it. Saved money by buying this, and not the pan digital. The quality was nice.

Scanner puts 2 lines down each picture that I scanned. Was contacted because they did not like my negative rating on their product, but 3 months later I still have a product that I paid for that does not work and my comment was removed from the reviews.
