This camera uses 2 "AA" batteries. If your Kodak charger is for anything other than recharging "AA" batteries, it probably won't work.

Not on this camera, It uses double aa batteries only, I guess you can use rechargeable batteries but not any charger..

This model of Canon employs standard AA batteries and so any appropriate AA battery charger and complimenting battery for this kind will work. Some camera specific battery chargers will not work because they are intended to charge the specific Lithium Ion or NiCad battery pack associated with a particular camera model which may not be AA-cell types. Generally you want a battery that has the highest mAH rating (milli-ampere hours).

ACDelco Insta-Use (Pre-Charged) 2000mAh Ni-MH AA Battery is a good example of new technology that should work well instead of disposable batteries.

The main reason I bought this cam was because it takes AA batteries (disposable or rechargeable) I have used energizer lithium and also their e2 titanium batts -which lasted almost two weeks on a backpack trip.
