Visual presentation, Canon of Judo, October 10, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Kodokan Judo With Master Technician Kyuzo Mifune [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This presentation of Mifune's judo, however brief, appears conceptually comprehensive and well organized. The quality of the video image is below average and obscure detail. Accordingly, it is difficult to use the tape to study technique. For this, the Kodokan offers most of this material in a superior product at substantially greater cost, but better organized for the purposes of studying Mifune's throwing techniques.
The contents of the Masterline Video production include an English soundtrack, organization of throws in five categories, presentation of various kata, ground work, grappling, arm locks, strangulation techniques, and randori not included on the Kodokan tape. Perhaps the only missing techniques are those of resuscitation.

Mifune is a Must !, December 3, 2001
This review is from: Kodokan Judo With Master Technician Kyuzo Mifune [VHS] (VHS Tape)
A must have for any serious Judo student. You can see how masterful a technician a tenth dan is. This tape also slows down enough for the viewer to learn from it.
