I am the yodeler for the University Glee Club (UGC) in New
Haven, Ct, and have been collecting Franzl Lang's 33 1/3 LP recrods for years. Most are no longer available, but it's nice to see that some are coming out on CDs. This one is superb, and he is truly a master yodeler.

This is a 2-disc greatest hits collection... I think... from the greatest yodler in the world. All in German (I can't understand a word) but it's not necessary to understand the words to appreciate the music. From fast polkas to slow ballads, Franzl Lang displays his broad range of awesome vocal talent. You will not be dissappointed with this one!

The two CD set I ordered was great and is listened to regularly. This is the first recording of Franzl Lang I have that is not on vinyl. Most of the songs in this colection I haven't heard before. I congradulate the folks at Amazon for finding this CD set and hope you can aquire more.

He isn't called "Der Jodlerkonig" for nothing! Franzl Lang is the best yodeler in the world, and these songs show it. This was my first Franzl Lang cd, and it got me hooked. I now have around seventeen Franzl Lang albums and cassettes, and are well worth the $200+ I've spent in my quest to get them. As stated before, let the music cast a spell over you. Be open minded and you really can't go wrong with this album. Get your wallet prepared to scrounge up anything and everthing Franzl Lang you can get your hands on once you're hooked!

The skill , technique and finess, present in this CD are truly animated and available to all who seek to learn from a Master. German/Bavarian Alpine yodeling unsurpased. If you listen to this CD and a smile presents itself, the magic of the mountain mist has got your heart and you too, may yodel with the King, himself.
