nice atmospheric lamp, but not good for what I bought it for,

This is a nice atmospheric lamp that emits soothing ambient light. I think it looks great. However, I originally bought it because I thought that it might provide good ambient light around a tv and reduce eyestrain. The light that comes from this lamp seems too dim to make an impact on the tv viewing experience though. It's a nice lamp, but I don't think I would have paid this much money for a nice looking lamp if I knew what I knew now.
