This is the carrier to buy. I have tried them all, seriously. My M-I-L gave me her old Gerry carrier to try after I had bought one of every kind on the market. I was thrilled, except that it needed a hip belt in the worst way. i looked all over for a pack that had everything, and finally happened upon the kokopax - and boy am I kookoo for kokopax! Sorry. But really - this pack is the absolute best - my 5 month old loves it, my husband loves it, and I love it. Now my dear friends at Kokopax, why is it so hard to find your product? It doesn't come up easily when you search on Amazon or on Google, maybe something can be done to make you less elusive? All the best features - I can't think of any improvements. Get one today! (Maybe better fabric patterns, but really at this point who cares, I have bought at least seven other carriers.)

OK - I have had almost EVERY carrier made. Our little guy has reflux so needs to be upright and likes to be held or carried as he doesn't sleep well when reclined. I wore him in one way or other until he could sit up and that is a LOT of wearing/carrying. I am also a single mom on the go so need my hands free to do all types of things. The Kokopax carriers are by far the best designed carriers made. I even use if for long walks and hikes as it is small, easy to transport and very comfy for the child. It fits in the overhead on airplanes, the bus, and I can pop it in the back of my wagon and still have room for groceries, a scooter etc - unlike the larger bulkier carriers. This is my second Kokopax carrier - the first one was missplaced during a m ove. I couldn't stand to be wihtout another one and had anxiety over paying for a second one. I finally did and within minutes wondered why I had waited three months to buy another one. As soon as it was out of the box my little guy was saying "try! try!" - I popped him in and off we went to Pete's - he was SMILING ear to ear - this is a kid that doesnt' like to be in a stroller, would prefere to be model and "driving" if he could at this point. The crew working at Pete's was amazed at how "happy he was". All of the memories came back quickly of how much easier life had been when we had our first Kokopax - pop it on and grocery shop with ease, go to the farmer's market and share snacks over your shoulder as you talk about what you see - you get the idea. Kids love to be able to see what you do and hear you up close - I can't say enough about this carrier - seriously I would get a peanut for when they are really little and maybe the ErgoSport or Beko and a Kokopax and let the rest go. I am surprised more people don't have them - this carrier ROCKS!!!! Great story too about how they got started - check it out to learn more!!!!!!

Overall, this carrier is great! It's very stylish, well-made, lightweight, and simple to use. My baby loves riding in it when we're out and about (grocery shopping, for instance) or at home doing household chores like cooking, and I would recommend it to a friend without hesitation. It's a nice alternative to our Ergo when Baby is in the mood to see what's going on around her.
I do wish the kickstand stayed open a bit better (it would be great if there were a way to lock it open while loading Baby in in order to prevent tipping- it slid closed by accident on our wood floors the first time I tried to use it and Baby wiggled...) and I wish there were a handle or something of the sort to assist with removal from my back while Baby is still in it. Other than that, I love it.

After doing a lot of research, I decided to go with this carrier, despite my instinct to buy baby gear like this used on ebay. I haven't been disappointed, it's pretty great and my son loves it. He is 7 months and we have been using an ergo ever since he could hold his head up, but he always hated not being able to see what was going on, and particularly hated it when I bent over for anything. I also found that my back would get sweaty if I did anything like garden, etc.
My favorite parts of the kokopax are 1. the fun fabric (I got "sprout"), 2. the fact that it is one of the lightest carriers out there and 3. the hip belt. I sometimes use just the shoulder straps, but most of the time use the hip belt, too. My husband thinks it's pretty comfortable, too, and we are very different heights.
I would give this carrier five stars, except for these reasons: 1. the price is pretty high, 2. the strap buckle is a bit hard to click due to its location (I actually rarely use the straps because it would be almost impossible for my son to "fall" out of this thing).

Just got my kokopax last week and love it already! I was a bit worried about how my back would handle it (my 6 month old is 20 pounds so he's pretty big). But the lumbar support pad that the eco version has works very well. This was a great step up from my front carrier in terms of handling a larger baby without putting as much strain on my back.
We've been to the grocery store and for a few walks around the neighborhood and he's completely happy just bouncing along in the carrier. Love it!

I had really high hopes for this. It works great around the house. I use it with my 10 month old. However taking it for outings isn't all that practical. I still use the ergo. It's bulky to take with when I know my daughter will be in and out of it. The last thing I want is to lug it around when she is in the stroller or decides she wants to crawl around. The ergo is perfect for that. I haven't had her in it for longer than 30 minutes.
