all though Kokoro no senshi gets a little repetive after a few listens..the rest of the tracks make this a worth while cd. it also has a cover of "eyes on me" from final fantasy 8, and a smashing pumpkins cover called "today" as well an original song called "sora wa hitsumo"??? i think? not sure..i don't know any japanese. but the rest of this single is sooo good. eyes on me is in english and it's just her and the piano. my favorite. some fans of the orginial say it's too fast...but i like it just the way it is.

I have been living in Japan for 6 and a half years. And one of the great things about living outside the U.S. is that you run across some really great music, movies, and TV shows you would have almost zero chance of finding in America.
Angela Aki is on MTV Japan from time to time. I thought she was cute in a dorky sort of way. But didn't really give her much thought.
Tonite on a regular TV station they happened to be showing one of her recent concerts, and I was blown away by her talent. She has a great voice, is a fantastic piano player, and a great entertainer.
I was tired so I slept though a couple of songs. Her voice is so soulful it relaxes you. Anyways, I listened to the rest of the concert without my remote control finger twitching once...which is saying alot for me.
So I got to hear about 8 or 9 of her songs. And as soon as the concert was over I went straight to Amazon to see which of her albums they had available.
