This is certainly one of the best, if not 'the best' book on a hero of our modern times. Certainly a 'must read' for any person who qualifies himself as Catholic. Fr. Kolbe is certainly not only a courageous person, but certainly one of the great minds of the Catholic Church. Certainly, a virtuous son of the Seraphic Father - St. Francis! If you want to get to know Mary Immaculate better - if you want to delve deeper into the mystery of her Immaculate Conception... which is critical to us understanding our Beloved and Glorious Saviour, you simply have to read this book. This book beautifully tells the true and inspiring story of St. Maximilian Kolbe.
I am reading it for highschool this year and it has inspired me in many ways, including growth in Faith and virtue. I recommend it for anyone -- teens or adults, seeking to grow in their walk with the Lord. St. Maximilian's story is timeless, exciting, and full of love! |
