The stroller is compact and you can push it easily. But, the recline is kind of a pain to get in the just right- position. Due to the seat incline position the croch belt seems to slip to one side of her inner thighor the other. The food tray is eye level and she has to pull herself up to it to retrieve her snack.

Thank you Kolcraft for this awesome product. After doing a lot of research about strollers online. Finally I decided to get this one on Target.com since it was on sale - free shipping! I am so pleased with this little cute stroller. It is quite light weighted, of course not as light as umbrella ones; very easy to roll, even with one hand; folds up pretty easy; love the cheerful color and cool style; baby seems to be very happy in it; the ibaby ipod player is an bonus, I play Mozart on it at home all the time to sooth the baby; the basket underneath is reasonably large, I can do shopping with it easily, etc. Can say enough goodies for this little one!
I am going to mention something you may need to concern.
1. it's quite small and low. I am 5'1'' and it fits perfectly for me, my hubby is 5'8'' and he seems like it too. If you are very tall, this may not be the one for u. Also the seat is small, it fits up to 35 lbs, which is only to 1-2 year old.
2. The seat doesn't recline down to flat, I am not sure if a newborn will find it comfortable.
Overall great lite stroller for the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Stroller, May 13, 2007
This review is from: Kolcraft Contours Lite Stroller Plus with iPod DOK in Cosmic (Baby Product)
I just bought this stroller to replace my cruddy BabyTrend stroller. I was looking for something that had a lot of storage and a large canopy, since my sone can't stand the sun in his eyes. This stroller is great. It is just what I wanted and more. It is easy to put together, looks good and has all the things I needed. The canopy is just big enough to block the sun which makes being outside much more pleasant for everyone. The underneath storage is quite large so it is big enough for a diaper bag and some bags if your out shopping. It is also smaller and lightweight so I don't mind going into stores as much because I can actually get around stuff. I thought the iPod dock was a cool idea too bad I just have an iPod shuffle but now I have an excuse to get a mini....haha. Really my only disappointment was that it didn't have a parent tray just one drink holder but whatever I'll get over it. Good stroller and a good price. Happy Strolling.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love It!!!!!!!!!!, June 8, 2007

I bought this because for my four year old we went for the whole combo thing that was new and convenient and yet extremely heavy and difficult to maneuver. Now I'm are older and wiser and with a better idea of what it is I need and want. This is it!! It maneuvers like a dream it is so cute (bright lime one) even my husband likes driving it around. The canopy offers a lot of coverage and the basket is also a very nice size. More importantly my son is 3 months old so he doesn't sit up well yet and unlike many lightweight strollers this one leans back farther. He's usually asleep by the end of the block and the 5 point harness does wonders for my anxiety about the possibility of him falling out (he's a little guy). His little tray sits up high but he'll grow into that and it's removable but I bought these stroller toys at Babiesrus that keeps his attention when he's awake in it. Yes, it only has one cup holder but it has a basket!!! I don't use parent trays I stuff everything in my purse or diaper bag and stick it in the basket...The cup holder I use for ,what else, my non spillable coffee. The Ipod thing...never used it they say the sound is bad but to me that was just a bonus anyway....sooooo worth the money and then some.

4.0 out of 5 stars I like it. It's lightweight and has modern colors, April 16, 2007
This review is from: Kolcraft Contours Lite Stroller Plus with iPod DOK in Cosmic (Baby Product)
I just bought it tonight to replace my beloved Safety 1st Avila Convenience Stroller that had a wheel detach.
Before my son was born I started out with the Graco Quattro Tour stroller because it matched the carseat. What a monster that thing is! Its huge and heavy. The pattern faded and looked horrible.
When I decided to start walking to pick my sister up from school this stroller was to heavy to walk on the side walk for MAYBE one mile. I felt like I was going up hill both ways. It was too difficult. Once I realized this I decided I needed a lightweight stroller. I decided on the Safety 1st Avila Convenience stroller. My son seemed comfortable and its was a LOT lighter. I loved it. The walk was nothing (as it should be) and had a cup/cell phone/keys holder. Everything was great until I went to use it one day and it had only 3 wheels.
I tried going back to the Graco Quattro Tour but just couldn't. Its too heavy and HUGE. I went on the hunt for another lightweight stroller. After 3 stores and a whole lot of no I dont like that, no I don't like this I decided on the Kolcraft Contours.
Keep in mind this is after one day of use and decent test driving in the store.
The steering is WONDERFUL. It is a little bit heavier than the Safety 1st, but it makes up for it in comfort for my son. The 5 pt harness easily converts to a 3 point. Since my son is 2 years old we dont use the soft straps. The one thing I can tell I will already hate is there isn't a parent tray. There is only a cup holder. Other than that it looks like it will be a great fit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great travel stroller, February 7, 2008
This review is from: Kolcraft Contours Lite Stroller Plus with iPod DOK in Cosmic (Baby Product)
We first purchased this stroller because we needed a lightweight stroller for air travel. This stroller was exactly what we needed.

PROS
- Very lightweight
- Maneuvers easily through a crowded airport with one hand
- Snack tray is a saving grace with a toddler (even has a cup holder for baby and mom)
- Storage basket is large (you will be amazed how much you can fit in it)
- Seat reclines for baby to have a nap
- Sun shade provides lots of coverage
- Stroller folds up very compact and even fits through the x-ray scanner at the airport.

CONS
- The buttons that release the snack tray are small and hard to use, but after enough use they relax and release easier.
- The wheels could be made out of a more durable material. We haven't had problems with them, but they don't seem the toughest. I guess the material that they use is part of what keeps this stroller so light.

Overall a great stroller. There are a couple of different stores selling this stroller in different colors - green (seen here), red and wine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rollin' & Lovin' It!!!, July 30, 2007
This review is from: Kolcraft Contours Lite Stroller Plus with iPod DOK in Cosmic (Baby Product)
I researched online for 2 weeks before buying this stroller. And was still nervous when I did for fear it would be "cheap". When the stroller arrived I took it out of the box and put it together in under 5 minutes. I bought it to use with my nine month old who weighs 22lbs. and is 29 inches tall. His older brother who is 3 and weighs 38lbs. and is 36in. tall climbed in and wanted a ride right away. I couldn't believe how well this stroller pushed with him in it. It turns on a dime, pushes like a dream, and folds to take up very little room in my Honda Odyesse. This stroller wouldn't make a great all-terrian stroller, but is perfect for shopping, trips to the park and everyday life. I also plug in my ipod shuffle in the ipod doc, even if it is for a mini. The holder is too big but it works and my baby loves the music and the ride. I LOVE IT!!

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE - LOVE it!!, July 8, 2007
This review is from: Kolcraft Contours Lite Stroller Plus with iPod DOK in Cosmic (Baby Product)
Ok I was looking for a stroller that was: light weight, would recline totally back, larger wheels for strolling through grass, large basket and shade and this stroller has all those features. You can get things from the basket in the front or back. The tray is a little higher but the way it is made I can undo one side and lay it to the side if my son wants to see better. He is only 6 months old so I know this won't be a problem forever. I can see using this stroller for a long time. The iPod dock was just an extra and wasn't my buying factor. The speakers are not real loud which I'm sure they did on purpose don't want babies to lose hearing!

2.0 out of 5 stars Front wheels lock when turning..., April 24, 2008
This review is from: Kolcraft Contours Lite Stroller Plus with iPod DOK in Cosmic (Baby Product)
Maybe I'm cursed but I have had two of these strollers and both have had problems with the front wheels--they lock into place when turning. What a pain. The recline strap isn't particularly helpful--very hard to adjust and doesn't cinch all the way tight for our toddler to sit up straight.

Really disappointed with the manuverability.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value for price - good looks too!, November 11, 2007

After considering several lightweight strollers, from the Maclaren, Inglesina Swift and Zooper Twist, I decided to purchase this economical ($70 vs. $180 -$200) model in green. First, even my husband and sons like the color (enough to comment on it) and we constantly receive compliments on its nice modern looks. After using it for 3 months now, I can report that it offers several good features for its price and size range that couldn't be ignored.

I give it 4 stars because of the seat-recline mechanism as well as the canopy mechanism. Both are simple/primitive and awkward, but they work well considering. The seat recline is not a 3-position style but simply a strip of nylon webbing with a buckle which (ingenuise-ly) provides multiple recline levels. Despite this, it is a very STURDY, medium sized stroller that is still Lightweight!!! I can't say how surprised I am at how easy and convenient it is for me to use - I gave up on strollers until this came along.

That said, I love the height of the handle bar (I'm 5'2") & that it's padded and VERY EASY TO STEER - one handed most times. Also the parent cupholder is a nice amenity in this price range. I REALLY like the storage space underneath. Roomy for a lightweight/umbrella class. The wheels are a good size, so they don't get caught up on varied terrain - from up and down sidewalks and steps to grass and gravel, this has handled them all without needing to be lifted. (a more expensive stroller would probably handle diverse terrain better but this one doesn't stall or get stuck.) The canopy size is generous. And, the shoulder straps are nicely padded. It's a 3-pt. harness that makes removing the baby convenient yet safe for strapping in. (We don't have a climber yet either, though.) Also, a HUGE perk in this stroller is how easy it is to open and close! My favorite.

Additionally, I like the width of the seat and that the seat seems sturdy and is decently padded so as not to become too hard and uncomfortable on long outings.

The toddler bar is removable - somewhat awkward to do so but still removable. It's cupholder is nicely sized and conveniently placed as well.

I don't like the how high the toddler bar/cupholder sits. My baby is 8 mo. now, sitting up and reaching for her own cup, but the seat recline is too far back at its highest. Thus he's constantly trying to pull himself up just to reach his cup. But that doesn't frustrate him :)! We will probably remove the stroller/toddler bar for outings to the zoo or where the baby will want to look out.

On the flip side, my 4 y.o. loves sitting in the stroller to take a break and the recline works great for him - but we prefer to remove the toddler bar to give his knees more room.

All of this said, I would best recommend this for the toddler stage to whatever the weight limit is. It did work nicely for our newborn after 3 months when he was big enough to be buckled in reasonably. It's definitely a good buy at $70 with free shipping on Amazon or walmart.com.

Had I spent the extra $100 or so on the nicer models in this lightweight luxury umbrella class, I would have a stroller that could last another 10 lbs. or so, but this is our 3rd child and we just don't push our outings as long as we used to, where a 40 lb. child is begging for a break in the stroller! Also a more luxurious stroller will have more aluminum and would feel more sturdy. This one feels light because it has lots of plastic components, but that doesn't bother me.

I just really appreciate a safe, lightweight, affordable, single-solution stroller that will last a few years :)
