4.0 out of 5 stars REALLY like it, would love it if they would make a couple of changes
I bought this in Feb '09, and have used it alot already. I REALLY like it - it's big, but both kids (2y & 9mo) have plenty of leg room, even when facing each other. It is a bit heavy, but I am 7mo pregnant, and I can fold & load it into the back of my Excursion without breaking a sweat. :-) Seats are easily adjusted, and it's not that much of a pain to take it apart to...

1.0 out of 5 stars DON'T BUY
Within the first couple weeks the handle broke away from the stroller. The foam on the handle tore. It is very hard to turn and is not a very well made stroller at all!

:-) Seats are easily adjusted, and it's not that much of a pain to take it apart to fold it. It steers soooo easily, and make even sharp corners without running into other things. The basket underneath is HUGE, and can handle the largest of diaper bags.

With that said, the cup holder for parents is flimsy - it constantly seems as if it's going to come off (it hasn't yet tho, but I'm scared to use it). I also wish there was a cup holder for the little ones. I've had a hard time getting the hang of placing the seats where they're not in the way of each other. If they are placed back-to-back, the rear seat can't really recline like it's supposed to cause of the first seat being in the way (or maybe I'm not doing something right). I also wish there was a way to fold it with the seats attached, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet. And I think it's a tad overpriced, too.

All in all, I'm glad I bought it. Shipping was really quick from here, as usual. It's a real eye-catcher when we're out-&-about. LOL The kids LOVE riding in it, so it must be comfortable to them, which is the most important thing!

4.0 out of 5 stars Well made, but seats are smallish, February 18, 2009
This review is from: Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem Stroller (Baby Product)
I bought this stroller a couple weeks ago and overall it is great. It was easy to assemble, has a very sturdy frame, is very versatile, has a large basket, and cupholders. I do have to remove the seats to fit it in my SUV. The only real complaint I have is that the seats are made to fit 6-18 month size kids. I bought it for my 2 younger kids, ages 6 months and 2 1/2 years. Yes, my son is tall for his age at 37", but the seat back only comes up to the top of his neck. Kolcraft needs to make a taller front seat fot toddlers. Since the seats are modular it should be simple enough.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kolcraft Contours double stroller, May 14, 2009
If you are expecting twins and thinking of a stroller here is the scoop. This is the absolute best stroller on the market for the dollars. Our twins are now 5 months old and this is a dream to shop with..turns on a dime, easy one-hand navigation, folds out and back in easy, Very large capacity space for storage etc..easily accommodates most infant care carriers. This Tandem stroller is best for the money and truly the only drawback is that it is a little on the heavy side. When mcopared to other double strollers I'd have to say this is the only one you will need if you live in the city hands down!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love It, September 6, 2009

This is a great stroller. I looked and looked for a stroller that would meet our needs before I bought this one. I have a baby and a young toddler. The toddler is too young for a sit and stand, she needs a real seat where she can recline to sleep if necessary. I also have a Chicco car seat which I LOVE and I wanted to have a double stroller that it would fit on. This was the only stroller in our price range that would do everything I wanted. I am very happy with this stroller. It is sturdy and well made. It's comfortable for the kids. It's easy to fold/unfold and rides like a Cadillac. Lots of storage space underneath, and I love the seating options.

A few things to mention: Yes, it IS heavy. That's because it's sturdy and well made, and has a good ride. I'm 5'2" and I'm able to heft it into the back of my blazer without too much trouble. It just takes a little learning to figure out the best places to grab it so you can lift it easily. I really don't mind the extra weight because I don't feel like I'm pushing my kids around in a big chunk of plastic. Yep, it's long. So are all the double strollers...unless they are wide. It's just the nature of the beast. Having said that, it turns surprisingly well, and we have not knocked over any store displays yet. I take the seats off to fold it up smaller in my car, and it's honestly no big deal. Everything on it adjusts so easily. The only thing I don't like is the lack of a cup holder/snack tray on the seats, but I think Kolcraft is working on that. For my kid it ends up working ok because she likes her sippy cup next to her in the seat anyway.

I get comments on this thing everywhere I go. People with kids are always impressed with it. It's a lifesaver for me when I go anywhere with the kids, especially by myself. I spent a long time looking and reading reviews and agonizing before I bought it, and I am glad I got this one, it works great for us. Bottom line: you get a lot of stroller for your $200.

4.0 out of 5 stars I get more remarks about the stroller than I do about my twins!, October 19, 2010
This review is from: Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem Stroller (Baby Product)
I've had this stroller since my one-year-old twins were born and when we are out in public now I get more comments about the stroller than I do about my babies! My babies love to face each other and play footsie and entertain each other when we are out and about. People want to know what kind of stroller it is, where I got it, do I like it. The really bold ones ask how much it costs and are shocked to find out it is a $200 stroller when they are expecting that it would be an $800 or up model. One mom of older twins I know said she would have twins again if she could have my stroller! She also said it would have been a great stroller to have when her boys went through a phase of NOT getting along, as she would have put them in the back-to-back position so they couldn't bother or see each other at all.

It fits through tight doorways well, folds up easily, and makes getting out with twins possible. My only suggestions for improvement would be easier one-handed steering (for when I'm pushing the stroller with one hand and pulling the grocery cart with the other) and a snack tray/cupholders for the seats.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but very big for automobile, October 27, 2009

This is a great stroller out of the selections that I have seen for me and my family. I am a single mother to 3 kids, an 8 year old, a very active 2 year old and a newborn and this stroller is great for us. It is big but I like how it is a Tandem stroller that way my two year old can sit in the front and not touch the baby. This stroller has alot of great feautres however it is hard to close and is very big when closed and heavy. I had a c-section and there is no way I would be able to lift this stroller and even attempt to put it in my trunk. I have a 07 Nissan Altima and it takes up all the space in my trunk and leaves me with no room and is very heavy to lift into the trunk. However I have heard of the same complaints with all of the double strollers so I guess that is what you get with them.

I ordered this for my daughter-in-law and she loves it. My grandaughters love to go out and the flexibility of being able to sit the baby facing mother whilst the toddler faces the front, or have both girls facing each other is great. I saw the stroller for the first time in action last Sunday, when the toddler was asleep on her seat, and the baby on hers. Very versatile. Not too complicated to break down and pack into car.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Double Stroller Ever Made!, April 24, 2009

I ordered this for my daughter who has a 17 month old baby who was a 1 1/2 pound preemie, so now she weighs 17 pounds but doesn't walk yet. So her adjusted age is 13 1/2months. She also just got custody of her husbands 18 month old nephew. We went to a festival a while back and borrowed a double stroller from a friend. It was a NIGHTMARE....it was extremely hard to turn and was very heavy to push! So she decided she wanted this Stroller. Best investment we ever made! Its very easy to push, lightweight, and turning? I can do it with ONE hand and I am disabled! The way you can change the seats is just AWESOME! There is TONS of storage space too. The ONLY drawback I can see to this set is that the storage space is a bit hard to get to with both kids in the seats, but that is FAR outweighed by the lightness and ease of pushing and turning!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Versatile Stroller, October 9, 2009

This review is from: Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem Stroller (Baby Product)
This stroller has been an excellent purchase so far... it took about 45 minutes to put together (instructions are a little sketchy). Once it was together though, it has been very easy to use, easy to store, and easy to change the setup.

I am using it for my 2 1/2 year old, and my 7 month old. They both love it - especially the 2 1/2 year old. He would ride in it all the time if he could!

The stroller is a bit heavy though - my wife has minor issues lifting it into her truck. If both seats are taken out, and everything is broken down, it is much easier. Each individual seat folds "flat", so storage is great. The stroller itself folds up quite well too.

It is a little pricey, but I think that is has been well worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome stroller! -Does not travel easily..., March 13, 2011
This review is from: Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem Stroller (Baby Product)
I have had this stroller for about a year. I am visually impared and cannot drive so I walk around town a lot. I bought it for my 3 yr old and newborn. They are now almost 4.5 and 13 months and can still fit just fine. (Although not too much longer for my 4.5 yr old I'm sure) The under cariage is huge with plenty of room for storage. It pushes easily and is easy to manuever. The only complaint is it's BIG, so it is very hard to fold and put in a vehicle. You have to remove at least one of the seats to fold it. Which is not that big of a deal because they are so easily removed, just makes for yet another step. It does not fold up very small so I doubt it could easily be fit into a smaller vehicle...if at all. I rarely fold mine, I just park it in the garage so for me it is awesome. I LOVE the fact that you can so easily change the seats to face any direction. Helpful on Sunny days or with bored babies! Over all I LOVE this stroller and have been VERY happy with my purchase!!
