Found THE stroller! FINALLY!,
By God and Family First (eastern shore usa) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Kolcraft Jeep Liberty Limited 3 Wheel All Terrain Stroller (Baby Product)
I have an infant and two older children, ages 8 and 3. We live in a small town with bumpy brick sidewalks. We are near the beach with a bumpy wooden boardwalk. I spend alot of time trekking across grassy, athletic fields, walking on local erands and schlepping books to and from the library.
I decided that I would skip the "lightweight" stroller I'd used in the past because they just didn't perform well or hold up well for our lifestyle. This is my first "jogger" 3 wheel style. After 6 months, I do not regret my decision. What I love about this stroller: - fits our infant carseat perfectly and securely. - steers effortlessly with one hand. - swivels on a dime. - rides smooth as silk over the bumpiest terrain, even the huge grassy athletic field, with little effort, my 8yr old can even push it easily. - comfortable fit and ride for my 3yr old. - cost - Sears 119.00 on sale with a coupon. - large basket holds plenty of books, groceries, etc. - looks sporty, gender neutral, for baby, as well as my husband. - tall enough for me 5'10" and my husband 6'3". - 3 deep cups for water, keys, etc. and for baby. (we have removed the steering wheel). What I've learned to live with... - heavy weight. I was used to a lightweight stroller. In comparison, this weighs a ton. The weight is not a problem for steering, just for loading into my vehicle. - bulk. We have a Suburban so space is not an issue, but this would have consumed the trunk of my old Jetta. - changing a tire. my husband had to do this when I got a flat. - no hand brake. this stroller can "get away from you" and the foot brakes are a must to use on inclines.

GREAT stroller for the price,

This is truly a GREAT stroller for the price. Here's what I like...
1. The storage is the best part. There's ample storage under/behind the seat and a second compartment under the child's feet. The Bob has nowhere near the same amount of storage. 2. The air inflatable tires are great, we walked on a dirt path soon after purchase, while my son was sleeping, and it was easy to push and smooth to ride in-didn't even wake the baby! 3. I also really like all the cup holders. The more expensive brands don't have the cup holders or snack trays like this one does. 4. Despite it's size it is extremely easy to maneuver. It pushes very easily on all surfaces. I would have given the stroller 5 stars except for a few minor issues... 1. I had to return the first one I purchased because the one hand fold system didn't work. The second one worked just fine. 2. It is very big to fold, but if you have a van or SUV it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Not the best choice for a small car. I think most strollers like this are big to fold, so it probably isn't any bigger than other brands. 3. As other reviewers said, the straps don't shorten very much when in the bottom slot. This can be worked around if you shorten the straps all the way, and then push the buckle through the shoulder hole so that the buckle (plastic square shaped 'buckle' that shortens the strap) is in the back of the seat. A little annoying, but it works. 4. The seat can't be machine washed. The tag on the back of the seat specifically says do not machine wash. It can however, be spot washed with water and a cloth. I also don't see how it can be removed since it looks like it's attached to the sun shade. A fairly big complaint for me, but I would still buy again. 5. The snack try could be a little closer to the seat, but I think it's designed like that to accommodate an infant car seat. I've had 5 strollers over the past 6 years and besides the snap 'n go this is my favorite. Even over a Maclaren (which I've owned 2 of). If your looking for a good long distance walking stroller with great storage, or for long outings like the zoo/Disneyland, that doesn't cost you an arm and a leg-this is the one to get. If you need something for a smaller car or for just around Starbucks get a Maclaren. But don't try taking a Maclaren to Disneyland, we learned that the hard way! To be honest, after comparing to the Bob, even if I could afford to get it, I think I'd still buy this one just for the storage!

Good but too havy and takes a lot of space,
This review is from: Kolcraft Jeep Liberty Limited 3 Wheel All Terrain Stroller (Baby Product)
Yes it's a cool straller, but it is NOT a jogger as it is said on the target website!I bought it on Amazon and it was specifically stated in the description and assembling instructions that it is not a jogger. It is roomy and I like music on the go and it is going almost everywhere,I even was able to push it on sand in the water park.
However I totally hate to put it in and out of the trunk. It is SOOO HEAVY and huge, even I work out..I have a spacy trunk in my Acura TL and even with this space it's difficult to put it in, I have to turn the front wheel and I even scratched my bumper once dragging this monster out :-( Also I can't buckle my 4 months old daughter in it. The safety straps are too loose in their shortest adjustment.I have to put her in the carseat always and it's too big and bulky. However I get a lot of compliments about such a cool cart.I don't like to go around in the stores with it, it's longer than other strallers and I always bump into things, so embarrasiing.I am looking to buy a light weight straller or Graco Quattro Tour Deluxe Stroller , where I can strall my baby without car seat and go with a more compact straller.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

#1 reason I chose this stroller: Durability. A friend of mine bought this stroller second-hand. She has been using it regularly for at least 2 and 1/2 years, and leaves it outside through all kinds of weather conditions. It is in AMAZING shape. No rust. No stains (when cleaned). The little steering wheel still makes noise. Unbelievable.
#2: It steers easily- which is a big deal for me, as I am 5'0" and 105 lbs. #3: It looks fantastic and has an Ipod hookup! What?! So I now own this stroller. I love this stroller. My daughter loves this stroller. My boyfriend/baby's daddy loves this stroller. Strangers compliment us on this stroller. The storage spaces are ridiculously roomy and it has two extra pouches on the side! The front wheel can be easily locked if you don't want the swivel, and easily unlocked if you do. If your child drops their toy/snack/whatever and it falls off of the seat, it lands in a big ol' net!!! I've never written a review on a product... that is how impressed I am. We spent the same amount on our first stroller, and during it's second use two of the screws bent and we could never fold it properly again- and every time we hit a bump it folded on our daughter. NOT okay. GO JEEP!

Upside
*Great for kid to sit in able to see over tray *Huge storage basket and easy access even with Kid in the seat *Wide stance very stable *Taller than a BOB *Tray toys steering wheel and horn (kids love it) *Easy to set up *Easy to fold down and store *Does OK on trails *Tray easy to remove for storage *Great price (B.O.B. is more expensive but we sold ours to buy this and this was the better deal) Downside *Bulky, folds smaller than a BOB but not lighter *Not tall enough I'm 6'4" but taller than a BOB *Wide stance almost too wide in some settings (single track trails, small sidewalks, small aisles in stores) *No shocks but if you don't jog or take on major off road excursions won't be a problem for you *Kind of plasticy doesn't seem to be as well built as a b.o.b (doesn't cost as much either) Overall score I would give 3.5 stars as my wife a daughter love this stroller and as I said earlier we sold our BOB to buy this and am glad that we did, our daughter loves this troller and I would recommend this stroller to anyone who wants a sturdy jogger but isn't going to need it for hardcore running. Not as tall as I would like but again I'm taller than most people (maybe I'll devlop an attachment.

We love it & it's held up great, but it's bulky when folded,

We've had a slightly different Jeep Liberty stroller (black/red/grey color) for 2 years and really love it. We have used it everywhere - the mall, walks, running and lots of park & off-road use. Our Graco infant carrier rested nicely enough on the front tray/in the seat but since it didn't click on/secure anywhere, I jogged a bit slower until baby was big enough to strap into the reclined seat with some rolled blankets tucked around his sides to keep him snug. Favorite features are the speakers (ours has a place big enough for a Discman CD player but we use w/ MP3 player), the real tires & tire pump (we've used it but note you have to assemble the pump - I was clueless but hubby had it in a jiffy. I just leave it together now), the large storage basket that holds everything (we use it when we walk to the grocery store too!) and our 2 yr old son still loves the steering wheel toy that plays music, engine starting sound, and horn. The downside is it's bulky even when folded. Fits fine in back section of our small SUV (Subaru Forester) but doesn't fit in the trunk of Grandma's Mercury Sable. One other small negative is the seat reclines with a cord fastener, which has to be pulled out to full recline before closing the stroller, but since we never use the seat reclined it has to be adjusted back up each time we unfold it. Overall, we think the pros are much greater than the cons and have been very happy with it!

Awesome Stroller!,

This review is from: Kolcraft Jeep Liberty Limited 3 Wheel All Terrain Stroller (Baby Product)
After 4 strollers, I finally found one that my 10 month old son just loves! I also find it safe because of the 5 point harness. His other strollers just had the waist belt which he actually fell out of. I will never use it again! My son usually hates riding in strollers, but this one he doesn't mind. He loves playing with the steering wheel and music buttons. I also take him walking and enjoy listening to my i-pod. Even though its a running stroller i use it for everthing. I use it when we go shopping because the driving wheel and music buttons keep him occupied. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because its pretty heavy for me to lug around. Also, it would be better if the steering wheel were a little closer to him. But i guess as he gets older he'll be able to reach it easier. Other than that I'd reccomend this stroller to anybody!

Warning: Do not jog with this stroller,
By
This review is from: Kolcraft Jeep Liberty Limited 3 Wheel All Terrain Stroller (Baby Product)
My motivation for writing this review is to warn current and future customers to avoid jogging with this stroller. I did just that, and the front wheel came off and the stroller flipped forward, bending the front fork and hurting my kid.
Discussions with the manufacturer indicated that they were well aware that this problem occurs and that they would not cover the front wheel assembly replacement. The representative stated that the front wheel will shake loose when jogging -- so please be careful and use this stroller exclusively for walking. When used as a walking stroller, it's really a great product at a great price. Perfect for the zoo, the park, or the mall. Love the front scoop catch-all and the large back compartment for diapers and shopping bags.

Excellent stroller!,

My son received this stroller as a 1st birthday gift from his grandparents since we were not happy with our previous stroller. I love the fact that the seat fully reclines and the harness seems much more secure than many other strollers we looked at. The wheels can handle any type of terrain but operate super-smooth in everyday environments like the park, store, sidewalk, etc. The basket underneath is very large and will hold a lot, it's also positioned so that it catches most things our son throws overboard like sippy cups, toys, etc. My husband loves the ipod/mp3 hook up and uses it frequently on trips to the park. The only negative thing I can say about the stroller is that it is heavy, but the quality and design make that necessary and the pros far outweigh any inconvenience.

Quality stroller/Great price!,
This review is from: Kolcraft Jeep Liberty Limited 3 Wheel All Terrain Stroller (Baby Product)
Just purchased this stroller. I received a travel system for my baby shower and I really don't like the stroller that came with it, so I decided to purchase a better one. I did a lot of research and finally decided on this model after seeing it on display in Babies R Us.
It handles really well and rides smoothly. My son is only 4 months old so I have just been using the car seat (which attaches really easily). It can be turned with one hand without difficulty. The front wheel can be fixed in place (although I don't see why) or can be set to swivel(most convenient). Has a large canopy for sun protection that clicks to several different positions, staying where you want it. The storage underneath is HUGE, and has 2 large side pockets for additional use. Cup holders are about average. I haven't used the iBaby system yet, but will soon. The seat is really deep. Looks like it will be comfy. The price is really reasonable for this stroller. Jusr compare it to the babyjogger or BOB strollers. It folds pretty easily. I have a Toyota Corolla and it fits in my trunk. It is a little awkward to get it in there, but once in, it fits just fine. No drama. Yes it's a bit bigger and bulkier, but it's worth it to have a sturdy quality stroller that handles well and feels safe. I hope to get many years out of it. |
