My 2 month old baby's head got caught in-between the bassinet mattress and it's wall. I was in the shower, and luckily caught her just in time. I shiver to think "what if" I hadn't gotten there so soon. I can't believe this bassinet has not been recalled. Bought the Arm's Reach Bassinet for my second baby, and it's a VAST improvement in so many ways.

We chose this bassinet after looking at quite a few. When it arrived I was somewhat let down, the fabric that covers the canopy is very cheap looking and the mattress does cave in the middle as others here have indicated... But the real problem was the vibrating attachment. It was SO LOUD and shaky, you could hear it on the other side of the house! We called Kolcraft directly, and they immediately sent us a new one without issue. The new one isn't very soothing and I am not really happy about it. Oh well, lesson learned - for things like this you should probably see it hands on in a store before purchasing!

We used this with our second child and loved how you had a complete view of the baby even with the canopy up. It was great for nursing to have the basinet bedside. Wish the basket underneath was a little deeper. We got rid of it when we thought we were done, but now pregnant with our 3rd child, we're ordering this one today!

My twin girls each have their own bassinet - both girls got their arms caught under the board beneath the mattress!!! They reached between the snaps that hold the netting to the board and rolled their arms under the board! It is only by the grace of God that their arms were not broken!!!! These bassinets are NOT safe!!!
