4.0 out of 5 stars Let Me See...
Who are the top femcees? Trina, Lil Kim, Gansta Boo. The women who shake their asses and brag about how much d*** they s***. Not to mention the mediocre flows(with the exception of Kim). Then we have artists like Bahamadia, who can blow all of these chicks out of the water and rank with(and above)many of the men in the game. Her silky smooth voice hypnotizes you as her...

2.0 out of 5 stars Quality isn't strong
I was looking forward to getting this CD as I've had a few of Bahamadia's songs on a CD burned by a friend for years. However, I was disappointed in the audio quality of this CD, but I'm not sure if it's just this CD, or how it was recorded in general as I've since gotten another one of her CD's and the quality was the same. I love her lyrics, just wish I could easily...

Do not pay any attention to the above hater review. This album is the ISH...the production is off the hook as well as Bahamadia's butter smooth flow. The Beatminerz, and Primo both represent to the fullest in this album....you dont have to take my words for it...there's a reason why she was handpicked by guru of gangstarr......this album is extra tight!

I know you got 20 dollars. I know you are planning to buy some wack product that has only 2 or 3 cuts on it. Uh-uh. Put it down, go get this. If you want COMPLETE PRODUCT, you cannot go wrong with Bahamadia. You're head will be nodding throughout. I promise you will rewind in mid-song to repeat those lyrics. I AIN'T LYING

5.0 out of 5 stars This album is DOPE=) You can't pass this up!, December 9, 1998

Bahamadia kicks da best tracks of hip hop with the dopest beats and MAD EXPLOSIVE SPONTANEITY !! This is one of the best hip hop albums I've ever heard... In songs like "I Confess", soulful R&B is incorporated nicely. This album has it all, and exceeds all expectations !! Mia X, Heather B., Nonchalant and most other female emcee's can't match this style !

5.0 out of 5 stars STILL AN ALBUM WORTH LISTENING TO, March 12, 2006
This review is from: Kollage (Audio CD)
SHE IS THE ONLY FEMALE RAPPER THAT I CAN LISTEN TO. NO OFFENCE TO FEMALE RAPPERS, BUT I JUST FIND THAT IT ALL SOUNDS THE SAME. LIL' KIM, GANGSTA BOO, FOXXY BROWN...YOU KNOW WHAT I'M SAYING. BUT BAHAMADIA, NO, SHE IS DIFFERENT! SHE ACTUALLY HAS A FLOW, AND GREAT LYRICS.
THIS ALBUM IS ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING ALBUMS THAT I HAVE EVER HEARD. I MEAN I HAVE ALMOST HAD THIS ALBUM FOR 10 YEARS, AND I CAN'T PUT IT DOWN. IT NEVER LEAVES MY STEREO.
THIS ALBUM WILL MAKE YOU APPRECIATE FEMALE RAP, THAT IS FOR SURE.
THANKS

4.0 out of 5 stars Kollage Review, September 16, 2009
This review is from: Kollage (Audio CD)
Bahamadia's Kollage is one of the old school hip hop joints the went unappreciated when released and remains so right now. Lyrically, she is arguable one of the best female MC's of all time. At the time sexy was in for the female rappers, and Bahamadia payed the price. I love the record and think, like so many artist who don't get a million plays on BET, the offering was what hip hop was meant to be.

This is one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time, period, and I agree with the other posters that Bahamadia definitely ranks among the top MC's (male or female). Her follow-ups (BB Queen and Good Rap Music) weren't quite as amazing, but are worth checking out as well. I've had this album since the day it was released in 1996, and it sounds as good in 2009 as it did then. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best female emcee hands down, November 13, 2008

2 needed elements to make an amazing hip hop record: Beats and Rhymes. This album embodies both. What really puts this album over the top is the chemistry in Guru's production over Bahamadia's slick lyrical skills. Even on Eryka Badu's EP she killed the collabo when they did the freestyle. She is definitely a slept on artist who needs to come back out strong.
