Two discs of amazing music for next to nothing,

At a time when major labels seem to be digging themselves into a deeper hole by charging too much for too little, I love to see that one of my favorite labels (Kranky) not only managed to survive the tough early years, but is now thriving. At the label's core, Kranky has carved out a comfortable niche in the realm of drone/ambient/post-rock music, but what makes the label stand out is that so much of what they release keeps an eye towards the basic essence of those styles while simultaneously branching out to new and exciting areas.
In the early years I came across Kranky because of Godspeed you black emperor, Low, and Stars of the Lid (the latter of whom being the only band not to have moved to a different label). Kompilation showcases the label in 2004 at what was probably the height of Kranky's drone days, but five years since its release, it's clear that the label is in the middle of another transformation. With the runaway success of Deerhunter and Atlas Sound, the label is receiving more critical acclaim for its foray into the realms of pop, folk, and even dancier styles. It also goes without saying that two discs of music for a list price of under $7 is a fantastic deal. Even though die hard Kranky fans might already have much of what's on these two discs, the collections is sequenced in such a way that sounds fantastic as a whole. At such a low price, Kompilation is a great idea for fans of Kranky, drone music in general, or someone looking to flesh out their music collection in a less than conventional direction.

This is an awful choice,I'v got stuck with it; some trucks are like an antithesis of music.[# 1 in particular] I wish had a longer time to listen to the tracks than the 15 seconds that provide.A disappointing experience,it's a risk you take when you buy things over the internet and can't return it once it's open.
