kon kon kokon is an adorable story about ren, a guy who is totally obsessed with japanese monsters, but his main focus in life is to be like the coolest guy ever. when kokon comes and tells him that she has come to repay him, he thinks she's just some wierdo, but he eventually finds out that she is one of the japanese monsters that he so passionately adores. if you like manga with a cool storyline and cute characters then this is the one for you!!

I bought this shortly after finishing Pita Ten, which, in my opinion, was absolutely wonderful. Going by the author's name and the cover artwork, I blindly bought the book without really knowing what it was about. It's basically like a standard harem story.
Unfortunately, I hate standard harem stories. The girls are cute, I'll give the book that. But the male lead was kind of annoying, and the girls fell for him so easily. I was pleasantly surprised to see the Kujo family included in the storyline, as I'd already read Kamichama Karin; however, the jokes were stale and the plot recycled the same plotlines of a million other manga/anime, all of which I'm sick of reading about. The entire book was unmemorable, even with the initial hook of a story about demons. The thing I remember clearest was that there was a crossdressing water god, and I'm not even sure if that's accurate. I'm pretty sure the other volumes are unreleased, but even if they were I'd be very testy about buying another volume for anything but the art. (There was a colored insert, which was one of the only things I liked about this book.) In short, don't expect much out of this at all, unless you happen to love harem stories.

Koge Donbo is a really good author, but I was extremely upset with her latest manga D: She is the author of Pita Ten(so sad, but amazing!) and kamichama karin(cute :D )
This book really had no plot. The characters were cute, but I was quite puzzled through most of the book. It is about this boy who really likes ghosts, demons, etc. These girls all come to him and say that they owe him..or something >.< It was really weird, I'm sorry to say D: I would not reccommend this book, but definately go out and read some of her other serieses!! |
