IS THE MOVIE FOR YOU!On the same line as: AIRPLANE!,ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES,SCHLOCK!,LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS,CREATURE FROM THE HAUNTED SEA, GODMONSTER OF INDIAN FLATS,RETURN OF THE KILLER TOMATOES,KILLER TOMATOES EAT FRANCE,and SPACEBALLS,QUEEN KONG will have you literally dying from laughter!In the wake of all the hype surrounding DINO DE LAURENTIS' big- budget remake of KING KONG starring JEFF BRIDGES,CHARLES GRODIN,and JESSICA LANGE,every major film studio around the world was trying to cash in on the hype.Italy gave us:"YETI THE GIANT OF THE 20TH CENTURY",Hong Kong gave us: "THE MIGHTY PEKING MAN",South Korea unleashed: A*P*E*,while the United Kingdom made: "QUEEN KONG"!But unlike the other films mentioned before it that tried to take and portray themselves seriously, QUEEN KONG is the only one that MOST CERTAINLY DOES NOT!It is an outright satire and parody on everything that was the 'thing' in the 1970's.It pokes fun at everything from hippies,to the women's liberation movement, to JANE FONDA,to JIMMY CARTER,and even RONALD RAEGAN'S acting when QUEEN KONG trashes the Ronald Raegan film festival during her rampage through the streets of London!If you're expecting to get a serious giant monster on the loose movie in QUEEN KONG then you will CERTAINLY BE DISAPPOINTED! |
