Konica Minolta 1710517-005 Black Toner Cartridge (magicolor 2300 DL and 2350 EN)

The description of this item indicates that it is a genuine Konica-Minolta toner cartridge. However, IT IS NOT. It is a refilled item. At least most of the other vendors selling refills indicate that they are "compatible" and not the genuine item.

I purchased a replacement black toner cartridge from ld products/4Inkjets website and used it for a few months. I print both text and graphics. I am a graphic artist and photographer and use the color printer to get good digital proofs of my work before sending out to professional printing houses. What I found was that I was getting flaking of the toner and smearing of the black into the color portions of my images that I thought was the printer or printer driver that was having problems. It took me quite a while to figure out that it was the toner cartridge that was the problem after I replaced the ld products with a real Konica Minolta toner cartridge. All the problems vanished. I called ld products/4inkjests and found that they are the same company and they say that they ship hundreds a month and they don't have any problems. I think that if you use the printer for non critical applications and text with a few graphics you might not notice the problem but if you are doing any serious graphics they don't work well. In fact with the flaking and incomplete fusing of the toner it gets into the printer and may eventually cause some problems. I wish I could say they were good products as they are half the cost of the KM products but that is not my experience.

Received the product very quickly. It was well packed. Will be using seller again. We have two of these printers and use a lot of toner. The generic toner cartridges just do not wor well in this printer.

Toner for my printer hooray! plus free recycling. The company I purchased it from has awesome customer support. There was a accident and the first shipment did not make it. They Fedex next day a replacement upon my contacting them. I'm thrilled.

The printer I have that uses this toner I have had for about 5 years. The Minolta brand toner is the only way to go. Excelent prints and more pages per cartridge compaired to the replacements. You may save money but you will be giving up quality and performance with the other replacement toners. The last toner I tried from "Other Source" was printing light, uneven and sounded like it was destroying it's self. I ended up recycling and ordering the Minolta and swearing never to bow to the Monster again! :)
