4.0 out of 5 stars Bright Light for Your Oldie Minolta Film Cameras, January 25, 2009

As you may know, Minolta went out of the camera business some years ago with Sony taking its technology to create the digital Alpha system.

For us guys/gals who want to continue exploring the wonders of film photography, this little gem may be all you really need. Puts out a decent burst of light, though I wish it had the control of the more modern Vivitar and upgraded Minolta flashes. I have not yet checked to see if it has wireless capabilities.

This baby may be useful on Sony's new line-up if the shoe is the same.

I'm using it on an old Minolta Maxxum 70 with its unusual hot shoe shape.

Sony Alpha A200K 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera Kit with Super SteadyShot Image Stabilization with 18-70mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens

Recommended as a back-up flash until you upgrade to something nicer.
