5.0 out of 5 stars Hard Worker
Our office has six people and we had a smattering of local printers tied to people's workstations and a Sharp laser black-and-white copier, and fax machine. 3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
Access door arrived broken and I have been waiting for over 2 weeks for a replacement to show up even though Konica claims it has been sent. Scanner is slow. Color is ok but not great.

This review is from: Konica Minolta magicolor 4690MF - Multifunction (Electronics)
Our office has six people and we had a smattering of local printers tied to people's workstations and a Sharp laser black-and-white copier, and fax machine. The Konica allowed us to get rid of all of that and it's now our main (and only) letter and legal size printer (yay!); we even got rid of our fax machine. This printer created a lot of usable desk space around the office in one fell swoop.

Having done some research, it was hard to find multifunction printers laser, color, scanner, fax, scan to pdf, network compatible, etc. for less than $2,000+. The Konica was less than $800 - sold.

It's very quiet, is a fast printer, scans looks great and color and black-and-white copies are beautiful. We all love it. So far, a couple of months after installing it, we haven't run out of the starter cartridges yet though black's a little low - I just bought a high capacity black toner cartridge for a little more than $70 so am 'way ahead of our old inkjets. We have a mix of Windows 7 64-bit and Windows XP machines and bought the Konica because it supports Windows 7 and 64-bit technology. So far all computers have been compatible with the Konica without problem.

The only negatives so far is that when we send a large print order by mistake, it's hard to get the Konica to stop, but I think we have that figured out. And it's taller than our old Sharp but that footprint is about the same. We like that it has a lot of access doors so jams (infrequent so far) are easy to clear out. So far a great machine.
