The slider is smooth, easy to set up and take down, very portable and very sturdy.

This NA-10 Konova Slider is a great ball bearing slider. Like everybody else, I bought an Igus slider. It's ok, but would bind if not level, and I noticed that on slow slides I felt like it would 'stop' intermittently...so I was excited to see the Konova ball bearing slider with many pre-drilled holes. Surely, this is much better (but note, in a dusty environment you may be better off with the Igus as that system would be less affected by dust)

When I purchased mine the friction was a tad too much, I contacted Konova. They were kind enough to offer to replace it with no hassles, which prompted me to want to do a video review to say thanks. I actually ended up just adjusting the 'eccentric bearings' just a hair. Easy for a techy type, like me : )

The feet are sturdy, but a bit heavy. The only improvement I'd recommend to Konova is to smooth off the sharp edges on the carriage and on the ends as they are a tad sharp. Also, you have to learn to slide it slowly, either dragging a finger, or letting it glide itself if you set it up on a very slight incline--which is very cool. All things considered, it's a great slider.

5/6/2012 UPDATE:
After using this for a number of real shoots, I have some thoughts to add. This set up below is different than shown in my video:

1: This slider can be mounted in the center of any tripod with a bowl and NO head--as long as it is 'tight' it will not 'drop' when it goes to the far sides (at least with a Canon 7D + 18-135mm).

I ordered, once on a separate account the Konova Slider K3 and received the K2. I returned the item and bought the K3 from another account, thinking I was getting the right item this time because, "Maybe it was a mistake," but no, I received the K2 yet again. Because of this 3rd party BS all I can really do it return it and try ordering again but I'm just whatever about the situation and told Amazon that I'd like to keep the item I received and get a refund of the difference ($130.99!), because why would I want to go through this a 3rd time. Also - I heard the differences between the K2 and the K3 aren't too different. I don't know if this is a scam or whatever, but the first time I ordered the K3 and got the wrong item, I almost overlooked it - so be weary!

I recently purchase this slider from Konova. It came straight from Korea. It only took them 4 days to get it to me! Very impressive shipping! The slider itself came with a nice zipped up case and inside it even has two extra cases for the legs of the slider. Its a very nicely made slider. Coming from owning a previous Indisystem Slider and also a Motion Slider 36 I am loving this slider and finding myself using the Konova slider more often in my production projects. This is of course a ball bearing slider so keep in mind that it will need to be cleaned out and oiled from time to time. There is a lock where the sliding mount is place so that your camera doesn't slide without you moving so. The material of this slider is highly made with good metal & aluminum. The red adds a unique and elegant touch to the product. I opt for the 39 inch one because all my other slider range from 31-36 inches. I didn't want a slider too long where I would have to carry two tripods just to keep the slider from balancing. The 39 inch fits perfectly on my fluid head video tripod without needing an extra tripod. I use a Canon 60D & sometimes my Canon 5D Mark II as well. The lens that i use with this slider is either a Sigma 14mm or the Tokina 11-16mm f2.8. Along with the lens i sometime put a Rode Video Mic. Besides that I also use the Monfrotto Joystick to do up & down sliding movements. I also bought a Manfrotto quick release plate to put on the bottom of the slider so it can mount easily onto my tripod without having to go through and re-screwing everything back on. The price is decent in my opinion for a great slider. Alot of professional slider cost in the thousands. This one is under $ 500. If you're on a strict budget then you might want to look into getting this cheaper K3 series.Read more ›

Just brilliant. I've gotten some incredible shots with this baby. BUT BE WARNED, it bends a little as it reaches the end, which can ruin some shots. Just be careful how you use it and it should be fine. :)
