This is the best slider for this price range out there as far as I'm concerned. I bought the K5 47.2 inch (which in my opinion is the only one worth buying), I was a little worried at first because it felt like it wasn't rolling smoothly consistently. It would roll fast in some spots and had more resistance in others, but that was only because you need to give it time for the lubrication to evenly distribute across the railing. If you don't want to drop loads of cash on a professional slider then this is it! It works fantastic. I'm very happy with the turn out.

I recently purchase this slider from Konova. It came straight from Korea. It only took them 4 days to get it to me! Very impressive shipping! The slider itself came with a nice zipped up case and inside it even has two extra cases for the legs of the slider. Its a very nicely made slider. Coming from owning a previous Indisystem Slider and also a Motion Slider 36 I am loving this slider and finding myself using the Konova slider more often in my production projects. This is of course a ball bearing slider so keep in mind that it will need to be cleaned out and oiled from time to time. There is a lock where the sliding mount is place so that your camera doesn't slide without you moving so. The material of this slider is highly made with good metal & aluminum. The red adds a unique and elegant touch to the product. I opt for the 39 inch one because all my other slider range from 31-36 inches. I didn't want a slider too long where I would have to carry two tripods just to keep the slider from balancing. The 39 inch fits perfectly on my fluid head video tripod without needing an extra tripod. I use a Canon 60D & sometimes my Canon 5D Mark II as well. The lens that i use with this slider is either a Sigma 14mm or the Tokina 11-16mm f2.8. Along with the lens i sometime put a Rode Video Mic. Besides that I also use the Monfrotto Joystick to do up & down sliding movements. I also bought a Manfrotto quick release plate to put on the bottom of the slider so it can mount easily onto my tripod without having to go through and re-screwing everything back on. The price is decent in my opinion for a great slider. Alot of professional slider cost in the thousands. This one is under $ 500. If you're on a strict budget then you might want to look into getting this cheaper K3 series.Read more ›

The Konova slider is exactly what I needed to bring my videos to a new level. It's a quality product, stable, and even comes with a bag. The price is relatively high, but I think it's justified by the build quality.

I really like this slider.
It's a solid build, has smooth operation and it's versatile.
I feel that it's designed well and built to last; at a very fair price too.
The first slider that was shipped to me became "lost in the mail" (through no fault of KONOVA's).
They shipped a second slider promptly and at no additional cost.
Included with the slider is a well made carrying case.
They gave me good solid customer service and I'm a happy customer.

2 stars for Supplier + 4 stars for product = 3 stars For the overall experience.

I ordered a K5 120mm version but they send me the 150mm version. Konova tried to convince me to take the 150mm because it is more expensive. the 150 is not portable anymore, I can't load it in my car trunk without hassle.

Then I was instructed to return the item which I immediately did. They promised to send the right length the next day. Four days later, no news, so I emailed them and they said they are shipping it the same day.

I have to pick up the item one hour before the event where I am supposed to used it. Big mistake, can't rely on timing. I wasn't able to set-up and use it. I lost an opportunity waiting for the right product to arrive, I think I also lost interest using it now that it is in my hand.

Others may have a better experience with this product.

I researched sliders exhaustively for a month before I settled on the Konova K5 120. I read reviews on the Kessler, Glidecam and other brands, reviewed footage on YouTube and Vimeo and talked to several photographers who use them before deciding on the Konova and I wasn't disappointed! Let me qualify by saying I have not taken this into the field yet but it will be getting a work out on a future photo shoot this month along the North Shore of Minnesota and the Gunflint Trail. My only footage so far has been in the studio but I don't expect any problems with the quality I see so far.

I ordered the K5 on a Friday afternoon and it arrived the following Monday before noon with Amazon Prime shipping! It was packed very well, with good foam inserts and plastic wrapping all pieces. The box also included the thicker nylon carry back (with shoulder strap) for the rail, similar bags for the detachable feet, a cleaning rag, a detailed manual explaining how to adjust and care for the slider and the required hex wrenches for adjustments. NOTE: Always check all screws and bolts as some can come loose in shipping or might be missing.None was the case with the Konova.

I set the Konova up on a larger, heavy duty Manfrotto tripod for testing, using my Canon 5DII with the dual battery grip and a Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L lens so it carried some weight. I mounted the camera rig on a smaller Manfrotto fluid video head and did a few practice runs. Initially I felt a slight rough feeling near the end of the slide but it disappeared after running the slider over the area a few times. Not sure if it was the lubricant being distributed in the bearings or just something on one of the rails but it went away and never returned.
