The KONUS 60mm x 900mm KONUSTART Motor EQ Refractor Telescope is the perfect introduction to the world of astronomical observation. The sleek Italian design of this telescope makes it stand out from the rest. This telescope has an electronic motor allowing the user to track celestial objects at the same rate of speed they move across the sky, keeping the image in the viewfinder. The motor is not only a great feature to keep objects in field of view but also a necessity for astronomical photography (separate photo adapter required). The 60mm x 900mm KONUSTART telescope comes with the following items not included with other telescopes in this price range:

• Superior 11/4" eyepieces
• 1 ¼’ focus tube assembly works in conjunction with eyepiece for a wider field of view and brighter image (others use 1")
• Red dot finder scope
• Moon filter
• Image rectifier
• Slow motion control cables for precise tracking of celestial objects when not using the motor

This telescope also has an EQ mount, which offers precise 360° tracking along the same path an object moves across the sky. The sturdy metal tripod maintains stability. This Refractor Telescope gathers light through the objective lens and then magnifies it through the eyepiece. What does it all mean?

• 60mm x 900mm – The first number refers to the size of the objective lens or the aperture of the telescope. Larger apertures provide a brighter image with greater resolution, especially in dim lighting or deep sky observation. The second number 900) refers to the focal length of the telescope or the distance the light travels from the lens to the focused image. Longer focal lengths provide more power through a variety of eyepieces. .

I bought the telescope three weeks ago as present for my six years old granchild. The item arrived in time and in good condition. My son in law, who is a computers engineer, had difficulties in assembling the telescope because of the poor instructions included. Until today they are not able to use the telescope properly because of lack of good operating information. We consider returning the telescope to the shop.

We bought a travel trailer this summer. Along with the great camping, we noticed the stars are so brilliant and seem so close! We were going to buy binoculars but my husband found this telescope on Amazon.com and we were hooked! We are taking it camping this weekend and hope to really learn and enjoy!
