I have been an AKon fan since the first remix collabo I heard him on spitting "konvict." This CD has some very simple and very soulful songs as well as some fast pace songs. Also check him out on the 50 Cent CD Curtis for an awsome collabo. I bought the Akon CD with the DVD and I am glad I did. The DVD isnt long but it will help you learn about the artist. I love this guys music and I hope he continues to grow and perfect his already unique sound. What are you waiting for? Order it right now.

Half of this CD is awesome, but the other half is kind of hard to listen to. The only songs I like to listen to are 1, 3, 4, 6, 9, and 13. Those songs give this CD a 4 star.

Even though I was a big fan of Akon and loved the original version of Konvicted, I was reluctant to buy this "Deluxe" edition. How fortunate I feel that I did. Akon is one of the best things that has happened to hip-hop and R& B in a long time and "Konvicted" showcases him at his very best. His songs range from rap to soothing romantic ballads like the masterpiece "Don't Matter" and even hybrids of the two such as "I Wanna Love You" and "Smack That" which features a return for Eminem. The inclusion of "Sorry, Blame it On Me" one of the best songs of recent years, alone is worth the price of the upgrade to the deluxe edition. It is his most touching and heartfelt song to date. As extra goodies here we have a second disc with two music videos ("Don't Matter" and "Smack That", as well as a glimpse of his trip to Africa). Akon is a true genius and this is one of the best albums in the last decade or so.
