We purchased a Kookeys Penguin Plush after finding out our Hallmark store was discontinuing Webkinz due to the fact that the Webkinz will "expire" after 1 year from purchase. When Webkinz expire your child will no longer be able to access the Webkinz website that they've created/used (unless you purchase additional Webkinz and then I am unsure whether you would be able to access previously areas that the child may have "built").

The Kookeys Penguin itself is extremely soft - the access to the Kookeys website was very simple - and it does not ever expire. I set it up and my child went onto the Kookeys website and enjoyed purchasing a home for his penguin and furnishing the home with a variety of items and purchasing food and other items for the penguin that lives and moves around in the virtual Kookey world. The virtual world is somewhat like "The SIMS" - although obviously geared more for children so they can easily navigate around it.

I do recommend this Kookeys plush toy with unlimited interactive website access.

I purchased this product as a gift for a friend, and it was a great gift! It is super cute, and definitely huggable. It is really soft too, I was concerned that it wouldn't be that soft when I ordered it, but it turned out to be super soft and fluffy! The gift is great for any occasion, and is just the right size for portability etc.

The Penguin is really the cutest thing online! The toy itself is very soft and cuddly, makes a perfect gift. Kookeys has completely rebuilt their website into an amazing 3-D world where virtual 'koos' can meet, become friends, go to the University, do jobs, find quests, own and decorate homes, and play games. It is much more involved now than Webkinz. Kookeys has a safe chat that allows players to communicate using the available words and phrases. This feature is much more indepth than Webkinz. Also, when you become friends with another koo, you are supposed to be able to 'whisper' to each other, which allows typing text like on Club Penguin. Right now that feature isn't up, but Kookeys is adding new content every 2-3 weeks. I recommend Kookeys for anyone who enjoys Webkinz and similar online worlds.

The stuffed animal is cute, but the website is not enjoyable for my daughter. She was not impressed and prefers Webkinz. I would not recommend this to anyone unless you want a cute stuffed penguin. I understand that the website is virtually new, so hopefully it will improve with time. Until then, don't waste your time or money on this!
