I have a lambskin that was starting to look a little dingy. I went online for advice on how to launder it, and the general consensus of what I found is to wash it in cool water with a specially formulated wool wash, and then use a wire brush to comb it out before letting it airdry. I went with the Kookaburra Woolwash on the Amazon website because it was less expensive than the other woolwashes I found online. I am so happy to say that the lambskin came out of the wash looking gorgeous, clean, and fluffy! I didn't have to brush it out or do anything special to it. I just hung it to dry. The skin itself is still soft and supple.

Good, pure ingredients, but i had two sheepskins and washed one in Kookaburra and the other in Dr bronner's (tea tree oil) and couldnt tell the difference.

I was about to discard my sheepskin rug it looked so bad... dog accidents and five years worth of wear. I came across Kookaburra when googling and decided it was worth the try to save the rug. I took it to the local laudromat and used just 3 ounces in a large washer. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the results. It looked as good as new, maybe even better!
I had almost the whole bottle left so tried it on some wool area rugs. They came out as clean as could be except two that were not well made ended up with the lining torn from the machine. The well-made one looks beautiful. I will now try cleaning some delicate wools on a very gentle cycle and save a bundle on cleaning.

A great wash for any fabric, It's very gentle, I use it to hand wash my woolen sweaters and just put a dash into the laundry machine with every load to add a subtle tea tree oil scent to my laundry. I honestly think the suggested amounts on the bottle are more than you would need, I've been washing sweaters in half the suggested volume with no ill effect.

I discovered this for baby sheepskins. But it works great for down too. Just washed our winter coats and pillows.

I wash everything for my baby in Kookaburra. I'm amazed at how SUCH a small amount (I use about 1/2 an ounce in my high efficency washer) gets out all of our stains and is still very gentle on my baby's skin. A must try for all moms!

A GREAT PRODUCT WITH A WONDERFUL SMELL!,

KOOKABURRA WOOLWASH IS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER DETERGENTS. RINSING IS OPTIONAL, UNLIKE OTHER SOAPS, THOUGH WHEN WE USE THIS PRODUCT ON OUR HANDKNITS WE WASH WITH CHEAPO BABY SHAMPOO FIRST, THEN DO A RINSE FREE SOAK WITH THE WOOLWASH. IT ISN'T AS IF YOU WOULD NEED TO, THOUGH, BECAUSE IT'S GREAT ON ITS OWN.
BUT WHAT IS TRULY WONDERFUL ABOUT THIS PRODUCT IS A DIVINELY CLEAN AND FRESH SCENT IT LEAVES ON YOUR FABRICS. KOOKABURRA WOOLWASH IS ALSO AFFORDABLE AND A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY. THE BOTTOMLINE IS THAT IF YOU WANT TO CLEAN YOUR FABRICS AND HAND KNITTED ITEMS AND LEAVE THEM WITH A HEAVENLY CLEAN SCENT, BUY THIS PRODUCT...IT'S WORTH IT.

I purchased this shampoo to wash my sheepskin rug, which looked dirty and ratty after having it for only a few months. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I was hoping that after using this shampoo, it would be soft and shiny again. To my dismay, it came out of my washing machine looking worse than before. I washed it with cold water and combed it out just like every website had instructed me to do. It now has a fluffy appearance and the hairs are curly, looking much like an afro-just as another reviewer described. It also shrunk, though maybe this was my mistake for putting it in the washing machine. I wouldn't say that it completely ruined my rug, but it definitely looked better before I washed it. Perhaps if I hand washed my rug, I would have gotten different results. Overall, I don't recommend using this shampoo for your sheepskin rug in the washing machine.

I love this wash. The smell is really nice - can someone please make a candle that smells like this? I kind of want to wash everything in it, not just my knitted items. Everything comes out nice and soft and fresh-smelling.
