I received the item in good time but when I went to install I found that the slot for the crank arm was too small to allow my crank arm to fit through. I sent emails to the adress listed on the receipt to return the item and it was returned as 'undeliverable'. I noticed a spelling error on the address that was listed and corrected but still no response. I am now stuck with an item that doesn't fit and no way to return it. I would not do business with this supplier again.

The disk itself is exactly what I wanted - I use my bike to commute every day, and even pants straps don't always keep my pants (or socks) out of the chain.

The weak point is the plastic mounting "bolt" - it's so soft that the hole for the hex nut was completely shredded by the time I had the bolt mostly mounted. As a result, if I want to take the disk off I'm going to have a very hard time.

I got 2 of these for our mountain bikes and one of the smaller size for my road bike. They come with thread adapters but if you do not have threads no worry's just tap them into your Bottom bracket like a plug and they will stay. Keep your pants out of the crank and the grease off your leg. They also offer some good protection to your spocket.I have had one for 4 years of hard use.

So simple to install on my bike. On my wife's I had to go to Lowe's and get a small bolt so I did not have to modify the existing pedel bolt on her bike. There are thousands of bikes and my bike did not have a standard pedel but I was still able to use this product with very little work. This product is great. I researched a solution for my pants getting caught in my chain and this product seems like it is the only thing on the market to solve the problem. Suffice it to say that again this product works great.

Finally, I found a way to keep my pants out of my chain. Brilliant!
Tough, strong plastic assures this is going to last longer than my bike. Great work folks.

The description of this product is very misleading. The manufacturer does not tell you all of the tools required to install this schlocky device. If you are not mechanically inclined and do not feel like taking apart your entire pedal, do not purchase this piece of unsightly plastic.
