I originally purchased two of these (1 for a gift) at the county fair (they were $20 there) in my area and we thought they worked really well. I was going on vacation to Puerto Vallarta with my family and several of my family members wanted them. So I bought 4 more. I don't understand why the green ones are more expensive, but the blue and pink ones were less expensive than what I paid at the fair, so I bought those colors. They work pretty well. My sister uses them for her hot flashes and they work really well for that! We also used them out in the desert when we were playing golf and it was over 100 degrees. They work well as long as you keep them wet, but when it's that hot, they dry out more quickly so you have to have water with you. In other climates they stay damp, so you just have to shake them every half hour or so. The trick is in shaking them out occasionally, so you have to make sure you do that in order to keep them cool.

Awesome. Bought one at the fair and I have to guard it with my life from other family members who cannot wait for opening day this year so they can get one or two of their own. Just ordered six more--one for my soldier in Afghanistan and another for a soldier holed up in Minot, ND; with tons of water and mosquitoes. These towels will lower your body temp 10 to 15 degrees. Remember to keep you and the towel hydrating. The kooling result is in the 'SNAP!'

My mom bought one of these at her local county fair, and brought it with her when she came to visit us here in the midwest in August (heat indicies of 115+). It really works! My 2 year old loved playing with it, too, and really helped keep her cool in this heat so we purchased a set of three for ourselves. I did notice a slight musty smell to it, though, from it being constantly wet. She had it stored in a plastic baggy to save room, and that may have had something to do with it. You're supposed to keep the box and store it there when not in use. The smell went away with washing. And the previous reviewer was correct in that in hotter climates, you have to keep rewetting it, and then shaking it out to make it cooler. Definately worth buying if you're in hot climates or suffer from hot flashes!
