Used this on vacation and the product worked great. It is very quiet and kept everthing cool. It paid for itself in a couple of days on the road by keeping everthing we needed for meals cold so we didn't have to eat out the whole time. I was suprised at how well it worked when the car would be 160 after settin in the sun your goods were still cold.

Cold water and food is great while on the road. We bought this for our first roadtrip down south. We like the fact we don't need to deal with ice!! However there are a few things you should know before you puchase it. The lid is top heavy, so it comes down harder than most cooler lids when barely touched. The latch to keep it securely closed will not last long- the plastic is rather cheap. Water does drip into the cooler so things do get a little wet, but nothing like if there was melting ice in it!! You should purchase the adapter cord to plug into the wall. Rolling it into the hotel and plugging it in, no ice hassle, no emptying melted ice- this is a huge time saver. The adapter does get hot and you can hear the gentle hum of the fan.

The 40-degree temperature drop is definitely overstated. At steady state it is more like 25 or 30. In a 70 degree vehicle you get 40-45 degrees in the cooler so it might be okay for that. Do not even try using this on the boat on a warm day unless you like warm beer. It does not include AC adapter. Wally World sells the same size cooler (Coleman) for 88 bucks, no wheels but it does have AC adapter.

It's not made very well and it doesn't cool very well either. I bought it because it came with wheels, which many other similar coolers don't have.
They also make you buy the AC adapter.

THIS IS THE 2ND 12 VOLT FRIDGE WE AVE PURCHASED. OUR OLD ONE LASTED FOR WELL OVER 15 YEARS. DO A LOTOF AUTO TOURING AND NOT HAVING TO WORRY ABOUT ICE IS WONDERFULS.. COMBINE THE UNIT WITH THE 110 VOLT AC CONVERTOR IT MAKES IT EASY USE IN HOTELS AND ALSO AROUND THE HOME FOR A DRINK COOLER FOR POOL PARTIES.

It's great to put groceries in on hot summer days and not worry if you need to stop on the way home

We use this on our travels from hotel to hotel. Plug it into the SUV and we have cold drinks and food when we arrive at the hotel. One problem the handel is not long enough so I attach a strap to pull the unit into the hotel.

Got this for a few trips this summer. On the first trip, the cooling unit went out. While on the trip, I got in touch with Boat & RV Accessories about returning cooler. Through emails telling of the problems, they sent me a new cooler lid and cord. I was leaving the next week on another trip and wanted/needed this type of cooler. Got the replacement parts in time. The second cooler lid and cord worked like a charm. Never missed a beat keeping the food cold. Thank you to Boat & RV accessories for getting me the replacement parts so quickly. I look forward to using this cooler for all my trips.

So far it has been good. Used it when Dennis had friends to play 500. Someplace for the beer. We will know better after our trip out west. Purchased for travel mainly and looking forward to traveling without ice and ice melt.
