Kootek 5V 2A Universal Micro USB Charger Adapter Power Supply for Raspberry Pi, Google Nexus 7, Nexus 10, External Battery Power Bank, Android Tablet and other Micro USB Port Devices

Plugged it into my RPi (model b), replacing a very underpowered other adapter. The RPi is much MUCH faster with this adapter! No odd crashes or random freezing. Haven't had to reset the device since I started using this.

A perfect accompaniment for the Raspberry Pi. Thus far I have used it with a PS3 controller via USB, a USB bluetooth adapter, and occasionally a USB adapter for a keyboard all at once. I have had no performance issues due to too much power being used on said appendages. There may be more taxing setups utilizing all four USB ports, but seemingly this power supply is more than adequate for a robust setup.

This power supply works perfectly with my Raspberry Pi. I have a wireless keyboard dongle and an unpowered USB hub connected to the Pi and it never has any power or performance problems. I wish the cable's length was slightly longer, as running from a power strip on the floor (in the middle of the desk) to the Pi on the side of the desk utilizes the cable's full length. Still, it does what's expected.

Great product It charges the Nexus 7 and any cell phone I plug into it VERY fast. I would highly recommend this product.

One of my biggest fears when deciding to use a Raspberry Pi was a proper power supply. The biggest issue when troubleshooting problems with the Pi is a lack of appropriate power, which then causes everything from rebooting to freezing. After doing countless hours of research, I went with this one. Definitely the best choice!

The 2A it provides is more than enough to power the Pi with USB accessories plugged in (Keyboard, wireless mouse, 2 wired xbox 360 controllers in my case) without a single power problem. This will be the power supply I go with for any future Pi purchases I make.

***Update -> Bought a second one for a second Raspberry Pi, because the first one was doing so awesome. For the cost of this and a Pi, it accomplishes more than what I need it to. Highly recommend!

Works great with my pcDuino3 board.

Note, the body of the wall wart runs vertically if used in a standard outlet with the plug arranged vertically. If on a power strip with the plugs horizontally this wall wart will partially block the adjacent outlets. If on a power strip with the outlets run vertically this wall wart would need to be on the bottom most outlet. This should be evident from the picture but is worth mentioning. This is not a criticism of this unit, just a note if you need to make sure you have space on your power strip.

I bought this to power a Raspberry Pi. Yes it does work and does supply power, however be careful if you want to use your Pi for anything audio related. When I use this as the power source and hook the Pi to my HiFi there is a very loud background hiss coming from the HiFi speakers.It is likely interference on the ground line from this power supply. When I change the power supply to a USB battery pack, the problem goes away. Therefore you cannot use this power supply for anything audio related.

I purchased other Kootek power supplies for my other Raspberry Pis. The others were 1.5A. This one is 2A. I didn't know if I would need it or not, but I bought it just in case. It works great with the Raspberry Pi providing clean and consistent power.

I purchased this charger to charge my Fiio X5 high-resolution audio player. It worked, and it is inexpensive.. Just be certain of the amps needed for your device. Don't you just love simple solutions that are so inexpensive?

Worked for my PI, whereas the power supply that I bought with a kit here on amazon would not power a usb mouse and wifi dongle at the same time.
