Product Description

Kordon Ich-Attack for Fresh & Saltwater Aquariums - Kordon Ich-Attack is an easy to use treatment composed of 100% multiple organic ingredients for all types of external and epidermal single-celled infections. It's broad spectrum of activity and lack of toxicity makes Ich-Attack effective without requiring a specific diagnosis. It stops infectious and external parasitic invasions from getting started and in turn prevents many secondary infections. In short, Ich-Attack suppresses and eliminates a wide spectrum of infections.A helpful advantage is that water changes are not necessary between daily treatments, saving on having to use tap water and their conditioners each day, or for marine aquariums in having to replace saltwater each day. The Napthoquinone ingredients of these organic herbals are as effective in salt water as in fresh water, providing an entirely new and effective way to handle coral reef aquariums without having to remove the marine invertebrates during treatments.

5.0 out of 5 stars It works well, but slowly, October 19, 2011

This review is from: Kordon Ich-Attack for Fresh and Saltwater Aquariums - 16 oz (Misc.)
Ich Attack works, but it works slowly. If you don't catch the ich early on and it gets a good hold on the fish, you need a stronger, chemical treatment for your fish, not an herbal one. Being herbal, Ich Attack doesn't have many of the disadvantages of the harsher chemical treatments. I am currently using this on a 12 gallon freshwater tank populated with 7 black neon tetras, 5 pygmy corys, and 3 dwarf gouramis. I lost 6 of the tetras, but I consider that more my fault than the failure of the Ich Attack - I didn't catch the ich until it was too far along on the tetras. I'm not even sure if a chemical treatment would have saved the tetras as badly as they were infected. It took a week of dosing the tank with Ich Attack before I saw the last of the ich on the remaining fish, but the bottle warns that it may take as long as 5 weeks if the ich is particularly resistant. As recommended on the bottle, I am continuing the treatment for 5 days after all ich is gone. In summary, it works and I like it, but I have learned to inspect my fish carefully each day to catch any infections early.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worthless Hippie Herb Remedy, April 12, 2010
This review is from: Kordon Ich-Attack for Fresh and Saltwater Aquariums - 16 oz (Misc.)
I've been taking care of fish for about two decades with a 240 gallon tinfoil barb tank and 94 gallon goldfish tank. This is Kordon's worst product! I bought it after getting infected fish. It doesn't work and is just a bunch of hippie herbs. In fact one of my 10 year old goldfish died from ich from the failure of this product! I had a 5 micron filter, UV light filter, and many water changes with healthy bacteria and my fish still died! It only irritates the fish and doesn't get rid of ich. If you want to get rid of ich get Kordon's Rid Ich +. It has malachite green with some other natural products that kills those evil parasites in a couple days.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not to say it doesn't work, but didn't work for me, November 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Kordon Ich-Attack for Fresh and Saltwater Aquariums - 16 oz (Misc.)
I have a 125 gallon saltwater reef tank and used this product actually took 2 bottles to complete treatment and ICH never went away. I had heard a lot of great reviews on this product so I still believe in it but I can't rate 5 stars as it was not affective in ridding the ICH in my tank. I will say that on a positive side it did not affect my corals at all.
