About the Author
Jeyseon Lee is Lecturer in Korean and Supervisor of Korean Language Courses at the University of California at San Diego. She received her PhD in Korean Linguistics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Kangjin Lee holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and teaches at the College of Business in Jeonju, South Korea.

Great phrasebook/ basic conversation phrases/ only basic vocab in dictionary,

i own this dictionary/phrasebook as well as a korean standard dictionary (also by lee and lee). this book only includes the most basic vocabulary, but it has an extensive list of phrases which would be a great help to a beginning learner or just anyone visiting korea. if you are looking for a comprehensive dictionary, you should go with the korean standard dictionary by the same authors.

This book isn't really good for people who are really interested in the Korean language, mainly for foreign travelers. I find the hangul alphabet section to basic, not in depth enough to learn. There's a lot of traveling phrases, so this book is basically the best for travelers.
