The Korean Catholic Church, founded in 1784 suffered severe persecution for nearly 100 years. The government judged Catholicism to be a dangerous ideology and sternly prohibited the propagation of Catholicism and the reading of Church publications. This book is mindful of the special meaning of the lives of the 103 Korean martyr saints who lived through these difficult times. The Korean language book "The Lives of 103 Korean Martyr Saints" was published in 1984. This book celebrates the 10th anniversary. St. Luke Hwang, the patron of the publishing house was one of the 103 martyr saints.
