I bought this just because of its portability, and I thought it'd be fun to take it with me on long trips to plug in to my car speakers or headphones. My friends and I can spend hours on end messing around with this thing, all contributing different tracks to the loops. I've also used it to add some extra instruments to professional music production, although i wouldn't recommend using it for the bulk of it, an entire track, etc. It's also hard to create loops on it without a click track, the blinking dot just isn't enough for me to keep a beat. Really cool product though, and reasonably priced.

If your into sound effects and adding to enhance your musical creative expressions this phrase synthesizer is a good pick. Note that precision note picking is not necessarily the goal, but whatever scale mode creates the mood. Can't rely to much on melody but mood of the mode.
