Amazon.com Product Description

Korg, the company that invented the first hand held electronic tuner, has now created one of the world's smallest digital metronomes. The Korg MM-1, an on-ear micro metronome, is only slightly larger than an earring, but packs all the functionality you could want for rhythm training.

One of the world's smallest digital metronomes. Click to enlarge.

Fits comfortably on your ear, so only you can hear it.

Unique Ear-Clip Design
The MM-1 fits comfortably on your ear, so only you can hear it. The metronome's rounded portion rests comfortably in the depression surrounding the ear canal, like in-ear headphones, and a clip gently attaches the metronome to your ear.

Since the MM-1 weighs in at just 0.2 ounces, you'll barely know it's there. Ditto on its tiny profile--0.64 x 1.83 x 0.66 inches (W x D x H).

Full-Featured Digital Metronome
The MM-1 provides digital accuracy and everything you need for complete rhythm training. Micro metronome can be set to tempos over a range of 40 to 208 BPM. Various time signatures are available: 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, and 7/4. Duplet, triplet, and quadruplet beats are also available.

Long Battery Life
On a single 3V battery (3V lithium battery CR1216) the MM-1 will give you a battery life of up to 500 hours.

Three-Year Warranty
Korg micro metronomes purchased from a Korg USA authorized dealer now have a three year warranty.

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't Work!, October 29, 2007
This review is from: Korg MM-1 MetroGnome Worlds Smallest Digital Metronome (Electronics)
Out of the box, this metronome didn't work. The screen came on and you could set the beats, but no sound came out of it at all. I talked to another musician who looked at some in a music store and he said 2 or 3 boxes were opened so he could check it out and none of them worked. I hope they took them off the shelves and I hope this review prevents any more sales.

We are going to try the MM2 before we give up on the ear piece metronome entirely.

1.0 out of 5 stars An abysmal failure, April 8, 2008

This product never worked. The battery was impossible to change, I had to get an electrician to do it and then it only beat for 1 day. The battery just does not sit right in the chamber for the current to flow and the screws are tiny and difficult to manipulate. A good idea but more research and revision needed before it is marketable.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Korg MM-1 MetroGnome Worlds Smallest Digital Metronome (Electronics)
I bought an MM-1 back in 2001 to use while running and cycling (I set it to 176 bpm), and I've worn it for the past 8 years during all workouts longer than a half hour, including dozens of marathons and triathlons. Finally, earlier this year the battery ran out, so I had to change it (yes, the screws are small, and changing the battery is a pain in the a@@). All the bad reviews must reflect a shipment every now and then with worn-out batteries (I can imagine it being turned on by accident during shipping and subsequent storage).
