The Korg PS60 may be labled as an entry level keyboard, but, don't be fooled by that statement. The keyboard has no match when it comes to price and features. Korg really has made a hit with this keyboard. I play in my Church's worship band on a weekly basis, we do contemporary christian worship and praise songs. As a practical example, this week, one of the song introduced was "Unending Love" by Hillsong United, the song uses two keyboard players (one for a synth pad, one for a piano with delay effect) with the PS60 I was able to split the keyboard into a pad sound to the left and a Piano sound to the right and adjust the octave individually for each sound, plus the delay on the piano. The outcome was so good people in the church came out to say they loved the new synth and the parts performed. Korg managed to make the interface super simple and accessible, to the point that if you ever owned a Korg M1, you will be flying in no time with this keyboard(it is very intutive). It uses a Joystick for controlling pitch bend and modulation, plus has a lock button (to lock modulation) wich is a heaven sent. The keyboard is full size soft keys, plus is small and light (I use a soft bag for it). Preset buttons layout is in your face and big in size (very well thought). Has plenty of sounds(the usual stuff from korg, piano/ep/synths/guitars/brass/bass). As far as piano sounds I have always dislike korg's idea of a Piano sound (their sound designers have to learn a lesson from Yamaha and Roland as far as Piano sound goes) but if you layer the Piano with a soft pad or ep(not a brite one) you will get a fine sound, and to be fair, Korg now is using some better piano waves than what they had in their earlier models. It has a multi effects section that is simply awesome in sound and control. It has a PC sound editor software for Win/Mac, and 128 voices of polyphony (huge!!!). If you are a live playing musician, and want nothing to do with sequencers, and nothing to do with looking up menus at a gig, and nothing to do with programing sounds on a board, and if you want to free yourself up for the performance, then this is it. Cons: The ac adapter can use a longer cord.
