5.0 out of 5 stars Works As Advertised
I have a Toto Drake toilet and the fill valve was leaking. I bought this replacement and it seems to work just fine. It dropped right in and looks like the original. I believe that Lavelle make valves for Toto.

Yes, this part is exactly what I needed to replace the original one that had come with my Toto toilet but had started leaking after 5yrs. 2.0 out of 5 stars Cheaper Elsewhere -Not good if you have higher water pressure, February 23, 2011

This fill valve is a lot cheaper at Lowes. I have also found out that it does not have a very high pressure tolerance. If your water pressure is over 60 pounds this valve will run constantly through the overflow tube, wasting a lot more water than you are saving.

I'm going to replace it with an 'original' toto valve and see if that is the issue or if all the new ones are the same.

An update. I tried a second 528T and it had the same issue. Leaked water into the overflow tube when the pressure reached around 70 pounds. I talked to Lavelle (Korky) support and they stated that the valve is rated for 60-80 pounds and could take awhile to seat. After two weeks of leaking water I changed to the 'new' Toto TSU16A, which initially had a lot of complaints. It does not leak. Now we will see how long it lasts but at least I'm not wasting water. It's also cheaper than the Korky valve if you buy it through a plumbing supply store.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for just replacing parts of the valve, June 25, 2011
This review is from: Korky Korky 528T Replacement TOTO Fill Valve (Tools & Home Improvement)
I too had a leaky valve and was about to replace the entire thing. I purchased the replacement valve and while reading the instructions, I noticed a section about "Servicing your valve". It described how to take apart the entire valve so that you could clean out the individual parts.

So rather than removing the entire existing valve, I opened it up per the instructions to see if something was worn out or needed cleaning. As soon as I opened it up, I noticed that the round rubber diaphragm was worn out and had a hole it in. I took apart the new valve, took the diaphragm from the new valve and placed it into the old one, closed the old one and turned the water back on. It worked perfectly!

The entire process took about 10-15 minutes. By just using the parts from the new valve saved me probably an hour of time by avoiding a full replacement.

So before you do the full installation, you might want to take a few minutes to open up your existing valve and see if you can just replace some of the individual parts.

5.0 out of 5 stars New packaging, November 29, 2011

Replaced an old Toto Power Gravity valve with this, easy to do by hand and worked perfectly!

Note that the packaging has changed from the image and can be a bit confusing. As others have said, if you have a Toto toilet, you need part #528T, NOT #528. If you look up both parts on Amazon, the images are completely different, but the actual packaging of the #528T I got looked much closer to the image for the #528 instead. It's difficult to find the model number on the new packaging, and it's now boxed as a Korky brand toilet fill valve, same as the #528. However, the package does say "Fits TOTO" prominently on the front, and the part itself should be black with a blue top, not a white top. I finally did find the model number on the top right corner of the back of the box, but I was quite confused as to whether they had sent me the wrong product or not until then!

5.0 out of 5 stars 528T, October 24, 2011

According to ToTo, use MUST use the 528T replacement valve IF you have a 528 GMax toilet. This Lavelle is an authorized ToTo replacement and is considered an OEM part.

The 528 model (without the T), is not designed to work properly in a GMax toilet.

I did not replace the whole unit, I simply used the cap and float from the new replacement unit ...saved a lot of time (took me 3 minutes) and potential grieve in not replacing the non-moving tube parts connected to the toilet (they were not leaking and the rubber gaskets looked fine).

Works perfectly and no more overflow leaking.

I actually purchased this valve a few years ago. The original valve on my Toto toilet broke spontaneously and none of my local hardware or big box stores sold a replacement. Thankfully, I found it here and was able to install it myself (by the way, the entirety of my handywoman training came from watching "While You Were Out") as the directions are very easy to understand. The valve is still working like a dream.

Needed to replace a leaky fill valve on a rather new (3 yrs old) Toto Drake. The old valve would frequently not completely close off, leading to a 'drip drip' from the overflow tube.

This item fit perfectly and is made to provide extra bowl water for the Toto.

Works perfectly, and is much quieter than the original Toto fill valve.

Certainly pricier than a generic replacement, but hey, the Toto is worth it.. saved me many a clog relative to the previous commode.

Highly recommended for a Toto GMax fill valve replacement.

We were unable to get this repair part locally - the local distributor who sold and installed our toto toilet did not even return our calls and his business was the only local source for repair parts. The repair was easily completed by my husband when the correct part was obtained!
