5.0 out of 5 stars ABSOLUTELY HYSTERICAL, September 2, 2006
By

This CD is one of the funniest "Christmas" CDs I've ever heard. They've taken 13 classical Christmas Carols, ones we've all sung many times before, and put Jewish themed lyrics to them. The musical arrangements are wonderful, lush, rich orchestrations and the singers are having such a great time, you can't help but laugh along. They even have a version of the Hallelujah Chorus which is truly a classic. I can't imagine anyone not loving this CD.

You don't have to be Jewish to enjoy this album of parodies, but it couldn't hurt. The song lyrics are clever, the production is excellent, best of all it will make you laugh. Think of a Jewish "Weird Al" (no he's not) album and you'll get the idea. If you have any doubts, listen to the samples --they're really are representative of the songs. Buy and enjoy!

The CD arrived in less than a week and in pristine condition.

1.0 out of 5 stars Why would you do this to yourself?, December 15, 2009
This review is from: Kosher Christmas Carols (Audio CD)
My mother-in-law sent us this. Was she trying to make some kind of point? At any rate, it's not funny and even just reading the stereotypical, unfunny, cliched titles is enough to make you cringe yourself back into the last millennium. Who is this album even for? It's a tacky gift to give to a Jewish friend, and an even tackier and more awkward one to give to a Christian friend. Don't subject yourself to this atrocity against music, and even moreso, don't do subject a friend to it. Just say no to novelty dreck!
