Simple Recipes, May 6, 2011
This review is from: Kosher Kettle: International Adventures in Jewish Cooking (Paperback)
*I was given a free book for review purposes*
This cookbook is a good resource for people who follow a kosher diet and others who just like cooking. It would also be helpful for people who aren't kosher, but have kosher friends and relatives.
The Kosher Kettle has something for everyone. It includes traditional kosher recipes and kosher versions of a wide variety of foods from around the world.
The recipes have been collected from cooks who have been using them in their own kitchens. There are also little stories that give it a personal feel. And there are basic instructions for kosher cooking that will be especially helpful to those who are new to kosher cooking. Most of the recipes are very simple and straightforward, so even novice cooks will be able to create a tasty dish.

Great options, December 6, 2000
By A Customer

A diverse group of beginner-to-intermediate dishes. Lots of flavor, but not lots of time or expense. The pumpkin soup, unstuffed cabbage, and lemon potatoes, and spinach rice make a fantastic meal.

a good cook book, March 26, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Kosher Kettle: International Adventures in Jewish Cooking (Paperback)
Being both literate and a good cook, I like "easy" but if the recipe is correct, that is what counts These are correct. The authors haven't left out the little bits that make the difference. I don't need 8X10 color glossies to know what the dishes are supposed to look like. I want to cook a good meal. This book gives the formulas for doing just that.
